~\JAMES Logan HOWLETT!!
I Could Be The Good Guy
The File Jacket
Name: James Howlett
Nickname(s)/Alias: Logan
Codename: Wolverine
Identity: Secret
Age: 155
Gender: male
Sexuality: straight
Profession: teacher at xaviers
Character Type: Mutant
Faction: Hero
Powers:
Regenerative Healing Factor: Wolverine's primary mutant power is an accelerated healing process that enables him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater efficiency than an ordinary human. Wolverine's accelerated healing powers have been commonly referred to as his mutant healing factor. The full extent and speed of Wolverine's healing factor isn't known. He has been shown to fully heal from numerous gunshot wounds, severe burns covering most of his body and regenerate missing eyes within a matter of seconds. Among the more extreme depictions of his accelerated healing factor involves him having his skin, muscles, and internal organs incinerated from his skeleton only to fully regenerate the tissue within minutes. Adamantium plays a crucial role in the speed of Wolverine's healing as well because of the fact that it produces a poison that his immune system fights off regularly. It is said that without the adamantium his healing rate increases. This power even amends psychological wounds inflicted as a result of traumatic experiences. However, Wolverine's healing powers force his mind to suppress the memories, sometimes resulting in amnesia. Wolverine sometimes calls this his mental scar tissue.
* Foreign Chemical Immunity: Wolverine's natural healing also affords him the virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, except in massive doses. For example, it is extremely difficult for him to become intoxicated from alcohol.
* Immunity To Disease: Wolverine's highly efficient immune system, which is part of his accelerated healing factor, renders him immune against all known Earthly diseases and infections.
Superhumanly Acute Senses: Wolverine possesses superhumanly acute senses that are comparable to those of certain animals. He can see at far greater distances, with perfect clarity, than an ordinary human. He retains this same level of clarity even in near total darkness. His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing him to detect sounds ordinary humans couldn't hear at a greater distances. He is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent, even if the scent has been greatly eroded by time and weather factors, with an extraordinary degree of success. Wolverine can also use his keen sense of smell to detect lies due to chemical changes within a person's scent. These senses stem from, at least partially, his constant cellular regeneration, as are his enhanced physical capabilities.
Superhuman Strength: Wolverine's mutant healing factor enables him to push his muscles beyond the natural limits of the human body without injury, granting him some degree of superhuman strength. His natural strength is augmented by the demand placed on his musculature due to the presence of over 100 pounds of Adamantium bonded to his skeleton, which also removes the natural limitations of the human skeletal structure by allowing him to lift weights that would damage a human skeleton. Wolverine has been depicted with sufficient strength to break steel chains and support the weight of a dozen men with one arm.
Superhuman Stamina: Wolverine's mutant healing factor grants him high immunity against lactic acid and other fatigue toxins generated by his muscles during physical activity. Wolverine can sustain himself at peak capacity for several days. Wolverine has shown himself capable of fighting Arkady Rossovich (Omega Red) for over 18 hours, despite regular exposure to Omega Red's death spores
Superhuman Agility: Wolverine's agility, balance and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the natural physical limits and capabilities of the finest human specimen.
Superhuman Reflexes: Wolverine's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are superior to those possessed by the finest human specimen.
* Insulated Weather Adaptation: Wolverine's body is highly resistant to certain elemental extremes, particularly cold, to the extent that he can sleep nude in subarctic conditions with no apparent injury.
* Retarded Aging: In addition, Wolverine's healing factor provides him with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process. Although well over 100 years of age, Wolverine retains the appearance and physical vitality of a man in the physical prime of his life.
Animal Empathy: Wolverine has the ability to sense the emotional state of animals on a basic level such as fear, anger, happiness or pain. He can even communicate with them to make the animal aware of his actions and or his intent.
Bone Claws: Wolverine's skeleton includes six retractable 12-inch long bone claws, three in each arm, that are housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms. Wolverine can, at will, release these slightly curved claws through his skin beneath the knuckles on each hand. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but the blood loss is quickly halted by his healing factor. Wolverine can unsheathe any number of his claws at once, although he must keep his wrists straight at the moment his claws pass from his forearms into his hands. When unsheathed, the claws are entirely within his hands, allowing him to bend his wrists when they are extended. The claws are made of bone, unlike the claws of normal mammals which are made of keratin, and were originally believed to be bionic adamantium implants. The bone claws are sharp and dense enough to slice through substances as durable as most metals, wood, and stoMaster Tactician: Though seemingly brutish, Wolverine is highly intelligent. When Forge monitored Wolverine's vitals during a Danger Room training session, he reported Logan's physical and mental state as "equivalent to an Olympic-level gymnast performing a Gold-medal-winning routine whilst simultaneously beating four chess computers in his head",.
Muramasa Blade: Wolverine's only specific vulnerability known to date. Created by having his soul infused into the katana, the efficiency of his mutant healing factor is decreased dramatically if he sustains injury from the Muramasa Blade. Wolverine has been wounded once with the blade and, though the injury was very minor, it did not heal completely for several days
Carbonadium Digestion: Wolverine's healing factor is also affected, though to a far less degree, if he ingests Carbonadium.
Decapitation/Severe Spinal Damage: Professor X once stated that Wolverine could be killed if his head becomes separated from his body, causing his brain the inability to send signals to the section(s) of his body that needs healing. But because of the addition of his adamantium-laced skeleton, the idea seems very unlikely.
* Adamantium Poisoning: Adamantium has proven to secrete poison which stunts Wolverine's healing factor and feral rage by a very small degree. Even though he has it laced throughout his entire body it has not made a significant change in his abilities. However, the poisoning will endanger Wolverine's life if his healing factor fails on him, such as when an inhibitor field cancels out his mutant powers.
* Admantium Allotropes: Adamantium has thirteen different allotropes (variants) that are very unstable compared to adamantium because of their different molecular configurations and thus physical properties. Some have caused Wolverine to become dizzy or weak just by being in close contact with these adamantium specimens.
Ablities:
Master Martial Artist: Wolverine has extraordinary hand-to-hand combat ability, and, alongside Steve Rogers and Taskmaster, is considered one of the finest combatants on Earth. Due to his extensive training as a soldier, a CIA operative, a samurai, a spy, and a member of the X-Men, Wolverine is an exceptional hand-to-hand combatant, having mastered virtually every fighting style on Earth and is also well versed in pressure points and the art of espionage. He studied the samurai arts from a man who met the famed 17th century samurai Miyamoto Musashi, Ogun.
Advanced Covert Ops Expert: Due to his experience traveling the world and working for various government agencies, Wolverine is also a trained expert in multiple types of weapons, vehicles, computer systems, explosives, and assassination techniques.
Skilled Mechanic: Along with Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler), Wolverine has also been the mechanic of the X-Men's Blackbird jet for a long time.
Multi-lingual: A polyglot; Wolverine is fluent in many languages including English, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Cheyenne, Lakota, and Spanish; he has some knowledge of French, German, Thai, Vietnamese, and Portuguese. Ogun taught him Japanese ideograms.

PERSONALITY: Logan is a somewhat loyal individual, even though he may not like all of the team that he is fighting along he will do everything that he can to help where they need him to. After all he did not specifically get on with all of the members of his former teams such as the X men and also team X however he put behind personal issues for what he has found to be the right thing to do. Despite what Logan claims he can actually be a kind person, often doing acts of kindness when he feels like there is someone that he can actually help, for example he agreed to give Rogue a ride after he found her as a stowaway on his truck and realised she had no other form of transport.
Logan is also brash and impulsive, he does not care what other people think and he will do what he wants, when he wants regardless of the actions that he is making and what those results could be. He could often be seen making decisions that could have ended his own life in the battles against magneto and Stryker to ensure the lives of others would live longer than they would if he didn't make those decisions. Logan will put the lives of people that he considers important before his own life, he has often put his life on the line for Sabretooth over the years because he is his brother.

HISTORY:
James Howlett's powers first manifested in 1845 Canada after he witnessed the death of his father at the hands of Thomas Logan, who revealed that he was James' biological father only after the grief-stricken James has impaled him with his newly sprung bone claws. Fleeing with his half-brother Victor, the two spent the next several decades operating as soldiers. They fought in the American Civil War, World War I, World War II and Vietnam until Victor assaulted and killed an officer with James rushing to his aid, claws out. They were soon put before a firing squad. Surviving that they were recruited by William Stryker to join a special team (consisting of Logan, Stryker, Victor, teleporter John Wraith, nigh-invincible Frederick Dukes, marksman David North (a.k.a. Agent Zero), electricity manipulator Chris Bradley and swordsman Wade Wilson).
During a mission in Africa, James left the team after realizing how willing the other members were to kill innocent people to achieve their goals, especially Victor who had developed something of a bloodlust. Moving on to become a lumberjack with a woman called Kayla Silverfox, James - going by the name of his real father, Logan - was lured back to Stryker after the apparently rogue Victor killed Kayla. Tracking Victor to a local bar the two fought- with Victor savagely beating James and snapping one set of his claws. This prompted him to agree to Stryker's offer to bond his skeleton with adamantium in order to give him the strength to kill Victor. Escaping from the Weapon X Facility. He asked for dog tags that wrote 'Wolverine' from a tale Kayla had told him, only to flee when he learned that Stryker intended to erase his memories and use his DNA as part of another experiment. Escaping the labs and eliminating the first wave of pursuers - along with his former teammate Agent Zero - Wolverine tracked down teammates John Wraith and Fred Dukes, Chatting with Blob and learned of a facility where Stryker kept mutants prisoner. In order to find the facility (which was located on Three Mile Island) he needed the aid of Gambit (Remy LeBeau) - the only mutant alive to escape it. Whilst searching for him in New Orleans Logan came across Victor and fought him a second time, this time defeating Victor who fled. Upon arriving at the Island Wolverine was horrified to learn that Kayla was actually an agent of Stryker's all along and her death was faked. Logan was spurred back into action when he learned that she did genuinely love him.
Logan goes berserk and attacks Victor but (not giving in to his animal side) chooses to spare his life. The mutant prisoners escaped, including Kayla's sister Emma and Scott Summers. Wolverine confronted the newly-activated 'Weapon XI' (his old teammate Wade Wilson, his mouth now sealed shut and artificially granted multiple mutant powers), and defeated him with the aid of Victor, who vowed that only he would get to kill his brother. Before Wolverine could leave with Kayla, however, Stryker shot him in the head with adamantium bullets, subsequently departing after Kayla ordered him to leave using her power of persuasion. When Wolverine regained consciousness, his injuries had healed but the damage to his brain had seemingly permanently destroyed his memories. Wolverine departed the island with no recollection of his past.
Logan became a cigar-smoking loner in Canada where he took on cage fights to make money as "The Wolverine", taking advantage of his adamantium skeleton. One night in a bar, he encountered a young Rogue. She saw Wolverine unleash his retractable adamantium-laced claws when another man engaged Logan in a fight. Bar Fight. He soon left in his truck, with Rogue sneakily stowing away in the bed. When Logan realized she was in it, he kicked her out, but soon decided to let her ride with him. On their way through the Canadian wilderness, their truck was attacked by Sabretooth (his brother Victor, who had mutated into a feral beast). Wolverine fought him, but was knocked out. Before Sabretooth could do any further damage, he was stopped and chased away by two mutants, Cyclops and Storm, who rescued both Wolverine and Rogue and brought them to the X-Mansion.
When Dr. Jean Grey tried to treat an unconscious Logan, he escaped the medical lab and started exploring the mansion. He discovered that he was in a special school with mutants who were trying to control their unnatural abilities under the tutelage of Professor Charles Xavier. Professor X convinced Wolverine to stay with them and become an X-Man, as he could have a greater chance of discovering more about his forgotten past. He agreed and stayed. A rivalry immediately formed between he and Cyclops as he flirted with Jean, Cyclops's girlfriend.
Later, in order to lure Rogue out of the X-Mansion, Mystique impersonated Bobby Drake, a student who befriended her, and tricked her into leaving as she was a "danger" to everybody else. Magneto planned to use Rogue to control a machine that could turn all humans into mutants. When Wolverine found out about Rogue's absence, he along with the X-Men reached the Statue of Liberty where Magneto was operating on his plans. Joining the X-Men in the process, Wolverine encountered Mystique and stabbed her, nearly killing her, but she survived. He and Sabretooth engaged in battle, ending with Cyclops blasting Sabretooth off the Statue (never to be seen again). In the end, Wolverine freed Rogue from Magneto and the machine, although it seemed to have been too late to save her. Wolverine suffered life-threatening injuries when he intentionally made contact with Rogue, allowing her to absorb his mutant healing factor in order to recover. After awakening in the mansion and recovering from his vast injuries, he declared his sincere amorous feelings for a reticent Jean. As a reward of his victory along with the X-Men, Professor X gave Wolverine a hint for the search of his past, directing him to the mysterious Alkali Lake in Canada. Prior to his departure, Wolverine left his dog tag necklace with Rogue, promising that he would come back for it. He departed on Cyclops' bike towards his destination.
Continuing his search, Logan finally discovered Alkali Lake, only to find an old and deserted factory. Disappointed, he returned to the X-Mansion. Upon returning, Logan was given the responsibility of looking after the mutant children in Professor X's absence, who planned to visit Magneto in his "plastic prison" with Cyclops to discover the information he had given to William Stryker. Jean Grey and Storm also left in search of Nightcrawler, who had been accused of attacking the President of the United States. When the Professor was interrogating Magneto, he learned that Magneto had leaked all the information about the X-Mansion and Cerebro to Stryker under the influence of a brainwashing drug). Moreover, Professor X was then kidnapped along with Cyclops by Stryker's forces. Protecting the mansion from Stryker's soldiers
Back in the X-Mansion, at night, Wolverine had nightmares of his involvement in the mysterious Weapon X program, and decided to walk around the mansion, and he started chatting with Bobby Drake (Iceman), Rogue's boyfriend. All of a sudden, Stryker along with his military troops invaded the mansion and began to the look for Cerebro. Wolverine killed many of the soldiers, and saved the mutant children. He asked Colossus, Bobby, Rogue and Pyro to leave. As he was about to escape, he was confronted by William Stryker, whose presence struck more forgotten memories. He shook out of it, however, and left with the remaining X-Men in a car headed for Boston to Bobby's house. Meanwhile, Stryker found Cerebro and confiscated it.
When Storm and Jean, along with Nightcrawler, learned of the attack on the X-Mansion from Wolverine, they headed towards Boston in the X-Jet to pick up the X-Men from Bobby's house. During the their journey, Magneto and Mystique, who helped the former to escape from his prison, offered their help to the X-Men in bringing down William Stryker, who, as revealed by Magneto, was planning to use Professor X and his handling of the Cerebro to kill all the mutants on Earth. It was also revealed that Stryker's base of operations was at Alkali Lake (albeit underground). The X-Men agreed to form the alliance. Wolverine later kissed Jean, but was rejected by her as she told him that she loved Scott. Mystique, seeing this exchange, took advantage of Wolverine's love for Jean and approached him in his tent, disguised as Jean, but Wolverine quickly discerned that she was an imposter (by the wound on her stomach made by Wolverine's claws) and rejected her.
Jean discovered that Stryker's base was underground with the help of Nightcrawler. Mystique, impersonating Wolverine, infiltrated the base and tricked Stryker's troops to open a gateway for the X-Men to enter. There, Wolverine decided to explore the base all by himself and he came across a laboratory where he saw his claws' scratch marks on the walls. He started remembering what happened to him and how he was experimented upon with the adamantium. William Stryker arrived and cleared Wolverine's doubts, revealing that he had created the "animal within Wolverine".
When Wolverine was about to get his hands on him, Stryker introduced another mutant with an adamantium skeleton and claws, Deathstryke, who attacked him but after an bitter fight was ultimately disabled. He trailed Stryker while the X-Men rescued Cyclops, Professor X and the kidnapped mutant children. After the destruction of his base, Stryker tried to flee using his helicopter but was caught by Wolverine and interrogated. Stryker refused to cooperate and was pinned by Wolverine, who left him to be drowned in the impending flood caused by the damaged dam. When the X-Men were about to leave, Jean sacrificed herself by protecting them from the flood. Wolverine and Cyclops mourned her death. Logan later informed Scott that Jean had chosen to be with the latter.
