Marley had awoken this morning with a monstrous headache. Nothing new for the blonde. She laid in bed, still deciding if she wanted to wake up or not. She stared at the ceiling, mind lost in thought, not any particular thought, just emptiness. Marley turned her head to the digital clock on the side table that read 8 in the morning. Did she really need to decide now? The blonde rolled back over and closed her eyes again.
Marley awoke around 9 again. It was still early but she knew at this point she wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep. There was just that feeling of weightlessness in dreams that she loved so much. Marley sat up and she stretched her back a bit. She stood up and she walked over to the light switch and turned the lights on. The young girl had put on a pair of blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a black vest over the t-shirt. She also had a purple cami underneath the t-shirt. Marley had placed on her black converse shoes and she walked over to the mirror that hung on her wall. She sighed at the mess she called her hair and she just brushed it out, then placed it in a messy bun.
Marley walked down the stairs silently. She had her earphones in each ear and her I-pod in her back pocket. The manor was quiet, something that wasn’t too unusual. She looked around and she walked into the kitchen. Alfred, Bruce nor Brittany were in the kitchen and the blonde shrugged. She walked over to the fridge and she pulled out the orange juice and poured herself a glass. She drank it and washed it in the sink after putting the orange juice away back into the fridge.
Marley had walked out of the kitchen and she made her way to the secret entrance into the Batcave. That would be the only place she would guess that everyone was. If not, then sleeping or Bruce was at Wayne Enterprises, the company his family owns.
Marley looked around the Batcave. No one. Awesome. She walked over to the computer and she started looking at police reports. Nothing. That was a good sign right? Marley had moved away from the computer and she moved over to where the staffs were. She picked one up and started messing around with it while she listened to the Beatles through the headphones. Marley had nothing to do today, and this wasn’t such a waste of time, so she thought.

Britt had gotten up extra early this morning so that she can workout with her father before he left for work. The two of them went into the Bat Cave and sparred for a bit, and then went on a nice long jog around the manor grounds. It was a beautiful early morning, and her and her father were able to watch the sun rise on their jog. It was a routine the two of them did, ever since she had found out that her father was Batman. It was one of the few things that they did together that fit into their busy schedules. Her father had a company to run in addition to training her and her siblings for crime fighting. She had said training in addition to school, where she was in as many clubs as Wayne Enterprises had divisions. So their schedules just clashed during the day, and the only time they could spend together was their early mornings.
After their shared workout, Bruce went his way toward work. Alfred of course took him. She went into her private bathroom to shower and change. After freshening up and put on a pair of lounging around clothes, she decided to check on Marley. Her sister was not in her room, and wondered where she went. She walked all over the manor with her towel hung around her showers, and periodically drying off her hair as she searched for sister. After searching the ‘public’ part of the manor, she only had one other place left to search. She entered the silver closet, the same entrance that Alfred uses, and entered her father’s secret headquarters.
Brittany grinned when she spotted her sister on the workout mat, twirling a bo staff around. She knew that she didn’t hear her approach as the set of headphones in her ears told her that. So she waited, not wanting to dodge the swinging staff, and leaned against the nearest wall. She continued to towel dry her hair, and wait for Marley to notice her audience.

The staff continued to Swing as Marley messed with it a little more. The young blonde was lost in thought, thinking about what her life could have been like with her mother, the anger and hatred that burned inside. She also hated the fact that her mother left her at the worst place possible, her aunts house. She wondered if her mom thought that her aunt would actually care about her. There was a lot of things that Marlow wondered her mom was thinking when she had abandoned her. She also wondered if her mother regretted it. Probably not though.
Marley was glad that she had found someone who had cared though. She knew that Bruce knew that she cares about him too, him and Brittany, but she just didn’t have the right way to show him, to even tell them. Marley closed her eyes and she sighed. She never really thought this hard about stuff like this.
Music played in Marlow’s ears as she stood there, holding the staff. She stopped a moment and she placed it down. She took the headphones out of her ears and she turned the I-pod off. Marley turned around and noticed that Brittany, her adopted sister, was standing there watching her.
"where were you?” Marley asked Brittany curiously.
Marley wasn’t too familiar with the daily schedule of Bruce Wayne since she hadn’t been here long enough to fully memorize it. That, and if she really wanted to memorize it, she would have to care to and as of now, Marley didn’t care. She had that type of attitude now a days. She wondered if she had been like this before her mother left. She wouldn’t think so. Marley remembered she only started acting up since she was abandoned.

Britt watch as her sister continued to swing the staff around her and listen to her music. As she watched her mind wondered as well, back to the day Marlow was brought home. She couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous of the new Wayne, and wondered if Bruce would no longer want her now that he brought back a girl that looked more like him than she did. Granted she was there first, but that didn’t mean that she was no longer wanted by her father or Alfred. She couldn’t talk to her father about it, as she didn’t want him to think that she was rude or feeling threatened by her new sister. Sure, her and her father had their early morning routine before their own personal lives got going for the day.
”where were you?”
She was jolted back to the present at her sister’s question. She sighed a bit and rubbed her hair dry once more before pushing herself up off the wall she was leaning on. ”I was taking a shower to get myself cleaned up from working out with Dad.” It was something she enjoying doing immensely, and couldn’t help but feel that it would soon come to an end. Now that he had Marlow, and she didn’t know what would become of her.
