Powers: Psionic ability to manipulate flame by shaping it as he desires, increasing or decreasing its heat, intensity, and size. He cannot actually create fire himself, however, and uses anything flame related to get him started(lighter, BBQ, campfire, etc). He can psionically manipulate the flame to do whatever he desires. His concentration is necessary to manipulate a flame being is directly proportional to the being's size, power, and flame. Unlike his father, Chance cannot be harmed by any fire that is around and he must see a flame in order to take control of it (his mental influence is approximately 100 yards).
Somewhat can control air, like his mother, but he isn't as skilled at it as his mother was seeing as she left before those powers started to show. From what Chance can tell, he cannot generate wind, but if there is wind, he can use it to his advantage by controlling it to become stronger or disappear, but he cannot create it.

PERSONALITY:
Chance is an extremely sweet and caring young man...when he's Chance. He's also very romantic and kind and is that one person who will go out of his way to make someone's frown turn into a smile. He's very funny and very happy go lucky. Of course, when he's Pyromaniac, that attitude changes. He gets mean, harsh, and rough. His eyes lose their sparkle and suddenly he doesn't care who you are or what you do, if you're in his way you are going to go down and that's just the way that things are going to be. As both Chance and Pyromaniac, he is extremely determined and will always go in 100%.

HISTORY:
On October 26th, Chance Jackson Alderyce was born to Sofia Matenga and Saint-John Alderyce at 2am in a hospital in New York City, New York. After his birth, his parents had a bit of an argument about what to do with the little tyke. John wanted to train him to be like him, fight for mutants, but not in the way that Xavier would have wanted. Personally, Sofia wanted him to go to Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters to learn how to properly control his powers before being let loose into the real world. Of course, this argument went on for several years and Chance heard it almost all of the time growing up, despite how John and Sofia tried hard to stay quiet while their son slept.
During those years, Sofia and John trained him in martial arts, various languages, and how to control his powers. Of course, Chance hadn't developed his mother's powers just yet and she was worried that he wouldn't get them seeing as he was already nine years old. Of course, their fights continued and one night, Sofia had had enough. The next morning when Chance woke up for breakfast, Sofia had packed up her stuff and left leaving Chance alone with his father and because of this, Chance was never sent to Xavier's School. Instead he was trained by his father in the ways of taking down mutant haters in the United States and everywhere else. Of course, as soon as Chance reached the age of sixteen, he got his mother's powers and his father wasn't sure what to do about it.
John still wouldn't let his son go to Xavier's School seeing as he didn't want his son to be like a goody goody. Instead, he let his son learn about his mother's powers by allowing him to use them on mutant haters, people who had never liked mutants and because of Chance, they would never like them ever again. Chance made a name for himself in New York City as Pyromaniac. His father tends to sit back and enjoy the show, complimenting his son or criticizing him after Chance returns to his apartment for rest, his father will call. It never fails and to be honest, Chance thought it was getting kind of old and he wants it to end and fast. A part of him wants to tell his father he's gay just to shut him up, but alas, he probably won't until he thinks his father should know.

Ralphina looked up at him as he said that it wasn't a problem and that he wasn't looking where he was going either. She smiled at him, still blushing before she noticed he was blushing as well. She giggled a bit and bit down on her bottom lip. She wasn't sure what exactly to do so she held out her hand to him. "I'm Ralphina...b-but, um, you can call me Ralph..." She said, trailing off a moment before realizing how idiotic she must look. She was introducing herself to a complete stranger. Sure, he was a cute complete stranger, but a complete stranger nonetheless. Not that Ralphina should really care seeing as she could take care of herself thanks to her mother and father and their mutant ways, but still. She needed to at least try and blend in, even if she did think it wasn't possible for her to blend in...well...entirely.
Although Ralphina did figure that this was her luck. She travels all he way across the country, from New York City, New York to Coast City, California and isn't distracted by one single guy and all of a sudden she arrives here and heads towards the beach in her hand-me-down, semi-ripped bikini and her ratty old backpack and BAM! She slams right into a rather cute boy who seemed to be the shy blushing type, which was Ralphina's favorite type of guy. Sure, some bold, strong guys were nice, but Ralphina enjoyed cute, nervous, nerdy guys mostly. Not because she was a dominant woman(which she was) but because she needed someone to relax around and for some reason, she found that she could definitely relax around shy, cute, nerdy guys. Of course, she did keep in mind that just because he seemed shy and nerdy didn't mean that he was. Either way he was still cute and Ralphina wanted to get to know the seemingly innocent brick wall.
