Kim stumbled around the streets as if drugged. Her memory was still a bit groggy, and her vision swam before her eyes. She didn’t know how long she had been wondering the streets or what had happened to her. She leaned against a lighted light pole that lit the street and sidewalk where she was. Her head swam, and her stomach lurched. She had a feeling that she needed to find someone, but for the life of her she could remember who. She eyed an alleyway off to the side, and wondered if she slept if she would remember something. So she ended up stumbling toward the dark area, only to collapse next to a dumpster just inside the entrance. She managed to curl up into a protective ball, and closed her eyes. She remembered escaping from a room full of smoke, and landing gracefully on the ground outside. She wanted for someone to follow her, but she was grabbed before they could reach her. She was getting carted off to the back of a black van, ”LUKE!’ She remembered screaming to the person she was waiting for. She woke up with a start, her heart trying to escape her chest. She now remembered who she needed to find. Luke. Her boyfriend, protector, and childhood friend. She got to her feet and started to stumble back to the mouth of the alleyway. Her hands searched her person for her cell phone that she knew she had, after she had leaned against the building to steady herself. Her search proved futile as she did not find her phone. So she can’t call Luke, this was just getting better and better. She attempted to put more distance between herself and the place where she had been. She doesn’t remember much of it at the time, but it was an instinct that she had to follow. Sounds of helicopter blades reached Kim’s ears, and she began to panic as fragments of memory broke free. Men kept bumping into her, women and children pointed towards the sky and muttered, and she just kept her hands on the side of her head trying to out run the sounds of the helicopter that were near her. She darted into another alley, and hid in an empty, large box to escape the chopper that was flying overhead. She peered up into the sky to see a military aircraft slowly fly over the city, and knew that they were of course after her. She huddled in the farthest corner from the opening, and felt her eyes drift close once again. She was strapped down in a chair, and voices were whispered in the room around her. One voice was very distinct, as she had heard it only once before. It was a voice she would and could never forget. It was the same voice that paid her and her father a visit after Luke had left. This voice belonged to Luke’s grandfather, and it wasn’t nice. They wanted her to bring the young Banner in, and that they were going to give her the tools and means to do so. Then they came at her with a long syringe… She woke up, her heart trying to escape her chest once again. How long was she there, in that place with the General? She had no idea, but the sounds of the helicopter that she was trying to escape from earlier were still there. However they were accompanied by more. She truly did wish Luke were there, as she carefully left the box and looked up and down the street. She couldn’t believe where she was, she spotted the White House as well as Capitol Hill. She was wondering around Washington, DC drugged!

Luke was worried, Aunt Jen knew it and his dad had probably worked out that he was worried, however the most worrying thing was that Luke himself knew that he was worried, it had been close to a month since he had last seen Kim since she had been taken. Luke had gladly gone hulk and beaten the guys that had come after them in his quest for answers and information, he left two of them with broken jaws and multiple other body parts, yet there didn’t seem to be any police action following it to be fair, not that he could tell the police that Kim had gone missing, after all he was the one that had been the cause of her quitting her job, also the fact that she had left her scumbag boyfriend for him would not probably work in his favour either, it did look like he had kidnapped her.
However there kept being sightings of her around America, or people that had looked like her, however they never ended up actually being her, there had been some that looked similar to Kim, however there had been some that didn’t look a damn thing like her. Luke had gotten sick of that happening, when he had thought that he had actually found her it had turned out that it had been a woman that had looked nothing like her, that was something that really got on his nerves, it seemed like they had thought any small blonde woman was who he had been looking for. He had ended up possibly thinking that his grandfather had been involved and considered trading himself for information before Jen had literally slapped that idea out of his head. He was right now in Washington because of the fact that there had been another supposed sighting of Kim, however if this turned out to be another hoax there was a chance that he would kill someone. Arriving in the city on the motorbike he moved around the city at speed, up and down side streets just trying to find Kim before he had to go to the police for help as he really didn’t trust them.
Still speeding around he stopped as he saw a familiar flash of blonde hair.
“Kim?” he said

Kim was indeed frightened, and she only wanted one person with her at that moment. She wanted Luke and she wanted him now. She lifted up her face to eye the group of helicopters that hovered in the sky about her, using searchlights in an attempt to spot her. She wondered what the General did to her, and why they were putting this much effort into finding her. She griped the side of her head with both hands, and doubled over in pain as she tried to remember more. It just hurt sooo much… Instead of remembering more, she ended up sliding down to the ground with her back against the building. She was alone, scared, and hurting. She could feel the tears fall down her dirty cheeks as she finally seemed to breakdown and just about ready to give up all hope.
”Kim?”
A familiar voice cut her through to the core. Her face lifted up, searching for the owner. Searching for a familiar face, her heart beating wildly in her chest. The spotlights sweeping the area, illuminating it briefly before going back again. She was suddenly reminded of a movie where prisoners were escaping, and the guard towers were searching for the escaped inmates. However the spotlight was just enough light to recognize the owner of the voice that called her name. She slowly got to her feet, unsure if this was a hallucination or if it was real. ”Luke?” She tenderly replied, not wanting to find out if she was imagining him.
Kim really did hope that this wasn’t her mind playing tricks on her, for she really did need to be in his arms again. She wanted to feel safe once more. However she didn’t want to rush to him to embrace him, just to find out that he wasn’t real. He wasn’t there. She would know the truth if he came to her instead, then she would know that he was really there….

Luke was amazed that he had finally found Kim, but now that he had found her he wasn’t going to let her go. He had spent most of the past month looking everywhere for her, it hadn’t been something that he had planned, yet at the same time it hadn’t been something that he had expected in the slightest. After all he had expected to have to break into some super secret lab to get her out, not that he was complaining that he didn’t have to do so but at the same time it was a little disappointing because of the fact that if he hadn’t been looking for super secret bases he could have found her before now.
With all the copters around he knew that it wouldn’t be good, but he knew that he had to get her out of here, simply because of the fact that it meant that someone was being looked for, the fact they hadn’t followed him around the last month it was safe to guess that it was for her.
“Get on.” He said gesturing to the bike.

Kim was about to say forget it, and rush to him. She didn’t want to suffer the feeling of not knowing if he was real or just a figment of her imagination. She actually ended up hugging herself to fight back the fear and confusion that was threatening to spill over her. She needed to feel his arms around her, to fight these feelings away for her. However she figured that with the helicopters whirling around them, it wouldn’t happen right away.
”Get on.”
She looked between him and the bike, before attempting to rush towards him. She was of course unsuccessful, as she stumbled toward the ground half way there. She tripped over her two own feet, as the drug still in her system had yet to pass out of her. She unsteadily got to her feet, and took a few more steps before falling again. She repeated the process until she made it to the bike. Her vision blurred as she looked at Luke, and smiled happily when she realized that he was indeed real.
Kim closed her eyes briefly, grateful she had found him. But she doesn’t know what is wrong with her, and she never wanted to be away from him again. She of course opened her eyes to only collapse over the bike for a moment before sliding off of it to the ground. ”Luke, help me…” She managed to plea with him before she succumbed to unconsciousness once more.

Luke didn’t have to be a doctor or any form of genius to tell that Kim was hurt, just the way that she had been standing gave that away, on the other hand that didn’t mean that he wasn’t curious as to what exactly had gone on for her to gain such a mysterious injury. After all it wasn’t like he had seen her within the last month to be able to work this out, she looked like she had been running for a long time, it also looked like she had been hurt. However he knew that the best person to possibly see her and fix her up was his father or his aunt Jen as they had experience with the kind of thing that she was going to need after all of the times that they had to fix up him over the years.
When she had began staggering towards the bike he had already been moving, he had moved the bike closer to her, also ensuring that it was close enough that it wouldn’t be hard for him to reach across and touch her. As she collapsed towards the floor he was off of the bike and had her in his arms, he easily placed her on the bike in front of him and started the engine.
“We are getting you to Texas,” he said softly before taking off towards the freeway.

Kim was of course drifting in and out of consciousness, as she knew she was safe for the time being. Luke was not a hallucination or a figment of her imagination. She also had no idea how long she had been gone, or what had happened to her. Whatever they drugged her with, was still doing it’s job to keep her from remembering. She found herself leaning back against him, trying to keep herself from falling off as he rode the bike away from the city. She closed her eyes once again, hoping that this would get whatever they gave her out of her system. She was strapped down in a chair, and voices were whispered in the room around her. A man in a white lab coat approached her with a scary looking needle in his hands. She began to panic and fight against the restraints they had placed her in, and she suddenly had the need to get away. It wasn’t the first time they had done this to her, but she couldn’t put any distance between herself and the man. They wanted to hurt her, and she didn’t want to be hurt. As soon as the man depressed the plunger, she body felt like it was on fire. She used that to cleanly break away from her restraints and effectively fight her way out of there. She woke up with a start, fighting an invisible enemy, not know what she was doing. She only wanted them to leave her alone. At first she didn’t know she was on a bike with Luke behind her, and then when she first realized it she ended up clinging to him. ”Don’t let them take me… Please don’t let them take me…” She cried to him, still feeling a bit out of it. That didn’t help, but she was slowly remembering a bit more of what happened to her…

Luke was glad that Kim had fallen asleep between him and the bike, he had been able to travel quite far from Washington right now which was the most important thing to Luke right now he didn’t care what had happened to him but so long as he got her to Texas and his home then it would be better for him simply because of the fact that he could keep her inside of the home which means that he didn’t have to worry about her being found.
When she woke up she fought against him, he had to fight hard against her to keep her on the bike, he would never hurt her but he was just keeping her against the safe location between himself and the bike. When she began saying for him not to let others take her he slowed down and turned off the freeway happily finding the turn off for san Antonio stopping at the services he kissed the top of her head.
“We are safer now,” he promised.

Kim was scared out of her mind, as she didn’t know what was happening to her. She was grateful for one thing, though, and that was Luke. She knew he would protect her and always come for her. She felt safe with him, and there was no force on Earth that would keep him from her. She knew it deep in her soul, and she knew she was a lucky girl to have him. She just wanted to stay right there in his arms, and sleep this damned drug off. But she knew that if she keeps remembering pieces of her missing memories like she was, it was going to take quite some time for her to recover from it.
”We are safer now,”
She felt slightly better when he kissed the top of her head, and her response was to attempt to get as close as she could to him. She didn’t want to be away from him for even a fraction of a second, for she feared that the would be taken away from him again… She found herself clinging desperately to him, wanting to feel safe for as long as possible. ”Luke, I’m scared… They did something to me…” She cried into him like a scared child afraid of her father.

As Kim had practically attached herself to him Luke knew that something was wrong with the woman that he loved, the way that she had been acting was not her in the slightest, even in the times that she had come to him after the fights with her father he had never seen her look so needy and helpless, not that he would ever consider her helpless, yet the fact that she looked almost like she couldn’t defend herself was something that scared him. Not that he would ever admit it, but he had her back now, that was the most important thing that mattered to him.
“It’s ok now,” he told her nestling his head onto her neck “I am here now you are safe.”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] I HURT MYSELF TODAY, TO SEE IF I STILL FEEL I FOCUS ON THE PAIN, THE ONLY THING THAT’S REAL THE NEEDLE TEARS A HOLE, THE OLD FAMILIAR STING TRY TO KILL IT ALL AWAY, BUT I REMEMBER… EVERYTHING Tagged: Luke The Words: 299 The Notes She is scared… Kim had never felt so vulnerable before without Luke. She was never clingy with him, especially after her father’s most brutal beatings. However what she has remembered about her time away from the man she loves, her father is like a walk in the park. So she of course has a right to be clingy, needy, and helpless. She knew they did things to her, things that if he found out what he would go mean and green. He just might do it when she tells him who was behind all of it. She knew that his grandfather had killed his mother, just because she refused to hand him over.
It’s ok now, I am here now you are safe.”
When he nestled his head into her neck, she couldn’t help but melt against him. She knew he was right, but she couldn’t trust her memory or mind at that time. What and who she trusted was him. ”I can’t remember what they did to me, Luke. I remember your grandfather, standing nearby while I was strapped to a table smirking as he knew something that I didn’t… I remember pain, a lot of pain… I remember escaping, not remembering you until I first slept…” She whispered to him, holding onto him as if he would float away if she released him. She didn’t want to loose him again, nor did she want to get taken once more.
Kim at that moment did not want to be more than arms length from him. That way if there was any kind of trouble, he could easily shield and protect her. That and the fact that she wouldn’t feel so vulnerable and open. In her mind if she can’t see or reach out and touch him, she is too far away from him. created by ADE!
