PERSONALITY: A steadfast and bold warrior, Toren is none the less a more peaceful soul than either of her parents. She simply moves from a place of greater inner calm. Oh, she appreciates the thrill of combat but, though she’s not likely to admit this, balks at the notion of actually taking a life. A studious and inquisitive individual, she jumps at any chance to gain new knowledge. For this reason, she always enjoyed her magic lessons and also is looking forward to what can be learned from her tenure in Midgard. As well-trained as she is, Toren has never been in a real battle and has a mixture of excitement and apprehension over the notion of actually going out on her own at last. Whatever side she chooses to serve in any conflict, it can be certain that she will not do so without being absolutely certain of her convictions and, as such, will serve with unwavering loyalty.

HISTORY: Not long after the battle of Ragnarok and reforming of Asgard, Thor discovered that Loki was keeping his long-time intermittent lover Sif trapped in an elderly mortal woman’s body. After freeing her, they finally made good on the promise they made to each other eons ago in youth; they got married. Some time after that, they conceived and Sif gave birth to a daughter. She was named Toren and raised to be the best of them both.
Toren grew up with an intensive degree of study and training, preparing her to live up to the legacy of her parents, both admired warriors of Asgard. She learned brawling and magic from her father, swordplay from her mother. Her spare time was spent soaring in the ethereal clouds of Asgard with other young gods and goddesses capable of similar feats, sparring with her peers, and enjoying the fine eating that her kind do not require for survival but do partake of purely for pleasure. She also developed a love of music and spent much time, when possible, with deities devoted to its practice.
After all the violence and danger they had both faced in their long lives, Sif and Thor were naturally protective of their daughter. When trouble arose from Frost Giants and the like, she was never allowed to participate in combat. Though somewhat frustrated by this, as well as guilty over her inner relief at not having to be in a situation where she’d need to actually strike a foe down, Toren always obeyed and remained behind. However, now that she is 16, her parents have finally decided that they must stop sheltering her and practice a bit of tough love. Because of all the lessons in heroics, friendship, and humility he learned while serving as a hero of Midgard, her father has dictated that Toren spend a tenure on Midgard, acting as its defender and learning what she can from the world of mortals.
Hiding any nervousness she feels, Toren has focused on her excitement over the opportunity and pride at the mission, promising her parents that she shall not fail them and will return to Asgard a true hero. However, when Thor used the Odinforce and powerful Rune Magic to indefinitely postpone Ragnarok and reform Asgard while reawakening its pantheon of deities, both the heavenly realm and the gods and goddesses inhabiting it were altered. More akin in composition now to the Olympian gods than before, it is no longer so simple a task for them to maintain a physical presence in the mortal realm. As such, Toren must wear a necklace painstakingly crafted by the dwarves and enchanted by her father, imbued with a small portion of the Odinforce itself, at all times. Should she lose it or it be destroyed, it would be only a matter of minutes before her form would dissolve and her essence be returned to Asgard.

POST RP EXAMPLE:
Another blackout, the longest one she'd ever experienced. Lexi had lost a couple days altogether recently. Unsurprisingly, the doctors were as mystified as they'd been her entire life: idiots, the lot of them. At least her father had assured her that she hadn't left the house, missed any of her activities, or ever gone unaccounted for during the period she couldn't remember. Her tutors and the house staff confirmed this, albeit nervously, but then she couldn't remember a time when her father's employees weren't uneasy when being questioned by her: spineless weaklings, but their kind were necessary to perform the menial tasks that freed minds like hers to move society forward.
Despite all these assurances though, the dreams that followed were disturbing. They were the most intense nightmares ever, following form in paralleling the length of her blackouts. The rage and hatred she felt in them, the feral ferocity... that wasn't her. That was far too much like her father, whose spittle-spewing rants against the Kryptonians frighted her, though she'd obviously never admit such.
A loud, over-crowded, teen party for those from families of status in New York City was just what she needed. In such a setting, Lexi could relax a bit and let herself go. She was brilliant, after all; ground-breaking science might still be an exercise of her considerable intellect, but people... especially hormonal ones... were a matter of consummate ease. A flirtatious smirk and a lingering touch (barely necessary really, given her designer-label outfit that clung to her like a second skin... in the sparse places it actually covered her first skin) to get a boy who'd come with a date to fetch her a drink more swiftly than most of her servants, a scornful scoff and one imperiously-raised brow to remind his girlfriend what it meant to cross a Luthor; sheep were so laughably simple to manipulate.
As she waited for her casually-stolen companion to return with a drink, Lexi took notice of two other party-goers who were not currently in the melee of pseudo-dancing that dominated the floor space. With an assessing gaze, she took a couple steps over to the duo, speaking in as low and silky a tone as was possible to use whilst still making herself heard over the DJ.
"Ah... Starks. Excellent; I can count on the punch being spiked then?" The only halfway joking comment was accompanied by a light and tittering laugh that she assumed in such social circumstances. The Stark family did have such a reputation and, given the sleepless nights she'd suffered recently, the young Luthor really would appreciate something stronger than mere fruit concentrate.
