Alexandra looked around Wayne manor awkwardly. Her dad had told her to come here to meet her 'family'. Which she wasn't entirely positive about. Sure she had heard stories from both her Father and Mother about Bruce Wayne. He didn't seem like the type to Alex that she could call grandfather. But Nightwing had also told her that he had children too some of them around her age. So do I call her aunt or something? but that's kinda weird since she's my age Alex thought doubtfully. God she wished she had thought this out some more, maybe convinced her dad coming to Wayne manor probably permenately wasn't necessary.
Yes her dad had sent her to Wayne manor to live. He said that if she was serious about being a hero to come here. That other side kick children of Batman would be here as well even if they were no longer Robins or Batgirls. Deep down Alexandra wondered if they would expect more out of her being the Daughter of not only the Original Boy Wonder but also the first Bat girl too. With a nervous shy she picked up her bag as almost a comfort item, After all it was the only thing she recognized in such a huge place.

Brittany was training with her hired trainers. She wasn’t as skilled as her father was when it came to martial arts, but she was learning. She still had a long way to go before she was the same level as her father. She was getting a rather good workout, and knew that later she would have to meet with her father in the Batcave so he can help her practice on how to use the Bat equipment properly. However, soon her martial arts lesson had ended for the day and her instructor had left. Her father used to be her instructor, but as soon as he started to train her as Batgirl he became rather busy. It seemed that the villains around Gotham were doing the same, and training their children to torment their archenemies…
She sighed and picked up the towel that Alfred had set aside for her, and wiped her brow where the sweat clung to her skin. She draped the towel around her neck, and picked up the sports bottle full of cool water from the stand where it sat. She then exited the room that her father had set up for her to train in when he was busy. She stopped when she ended up on the landing overlooking the entrance hall. She saw a girl about her age, and wondered what she was doing there. She put on the air and the metaphoric hat of hostess. ”Can I help you, Miss…?” She called down from the landing and descended the stairs so that she could meet the other girl.

"Grayson, Alex Grayson um my dad sent me here I guess I'm suppose to be living here" Alex answered mentally smacking herself for stuttering so much. She shouldn't be nervous it wasn't her style, she was confident, funny, energetic that was her style that was who she is. Yet Alex was still nervous. Getting a better look at the girl she saw she was around her age maybe a year younger but did it really matter how old she was she was a kid just like her.
Thinking that she might suspect a lie from her Alex pulled out a crumpled note from her pocket something she was suppose to give to Batman himself. "I'm suppose to give this to either Bruce Wayne or Alfred Pennyworth" She started to say then realized something what would another kid be doing here. From what she heard about Bruce he didn't like many visitors in his mansion since he was so cautious about his identity. "Are you Brittany?" she asked.

Brittany watched as the other girl stuttered her answer, and she only raised an eyebrow as she listened. Alex Grayson was this girl’s name, and she wondered if she was any relation to her father’s old sidekick, Dick Grayson. She didn’t jump right in and ask her for the information, instead she needed to sort through some other things first. Like how to inform her that her father and Alfred were out “shopping”. She cocked her head to the side as she suddenly remembered that she was suppose to greet a girl and show her to her new room.
”I’m suppose to give this to either Bruce Wayne or Alfred Pennyworth … Are you Brittany?”
She looked at the crumpled note that Alex had pulled out of her pocket, and briefly wondered what it was about. However it was none of her business, and she was neither her father or Alfred. She then took another pull from her sports bottle and wiped her forehead some more. She looked at the other girl when she asked if her name was Brittany. ”I am.” She answered and stuck out her hand for a handshake. ”Brittany Wayne. It is a pleasure to meet you, Alex. Dad and Alfred are out, and I am suppose to show you to your room and give you a tour of the manor.” She introduced herself.

Alex nodded and slung her bag over her shoulder regretting this deciscion more and more. It's not fair why couldn't she fight crime with her dad have him teach her the ropes why'd she have to come here? With a sigh she looked around till Brittany came down the stairs. She wondered if this was how her parents felt the first time they walked into Wayne Manor? Out of place and unbelievably poor? Like they didn't belong here?
Sure her parents had money but again stuff her dad inherited for being a Wayne. Alex was used to the Grayson-Gordon life style. Work hard for your money. "How old are you anyway?"

Brittany wasn’t sure how she felt that her father allowed someone else to move into the manor, especially with their ‘extracurricular’ activities. She knew her father would like to keep it secret that he was Batman and that she was Batgirl. He knew he did not need the city’s villains knowing his true identity and coming after her to use her as revenge. She was glad that at least her father had foresaw that and started to train her in order to defend herself in that case.
”How old are you anyway?”
She looked at Alex, and wondered if she felt uncomfortable like she first did when she was brought home from the orphanage. She seemed to be and she knew as a good hostess, she needed to make sure that Alex needed to feel comfortable. Even if the manor seemed bare and barren of welcoming items. ”I’m fifteen. Don’t worry about the uncomfortable feeling of not belonging. It will go away with time as you get used to the place. It did with me.” She then turned and started to head up the stairs, motioning for her to follow her. ”Are you Dick Grayson’s daughter?” She asked over her shoulder, wanting to know the answer to her thought earlier.

Alex nodded to her comment about the unwelcoming feeling the mansion brought. "Yeah he's my dad and Barbara Gordon is my mom" Alexandra answered. I guess you could say she was a third generation crime fighter...or was this considered second? Ugh she never understood the generation time line anyways. But that was a historical couple Robin married Batgirl. She used to make that her little joke when she was little "Robin and Batgirl sitting in a tree" and you know the rest.
Speaking of Robin and Batgirl she wondered if Brittany knew the family secret. Sure Alex knew the identities of the original Batman family but she doesn't remember the identities of the new ones.

Brittany smiled when she confirmed that Alex was indeed Dick Grayson’s kid. What however surprised her the most was that the original Batgirl was her mom. Britt did not have any family ties outside of Bruce and Alfred, but that didn’t quite bother her much. She really didn’t get to know Dick when he lived with them, so she really couldn’t say he was her brother. Even if her dad adopted him as well. Being adopted really never bothered her, but she did consider herself lucky to be adopted by the most eligible bachelor in Gotham City.
She slowed down when she reached the second floor of the house, and then began to walk toward the bedroom wing of the manor. For some reason, her father had put Alex next to her room. But of course being the dutiful and good daughter she was, she didn’t question his decision on that matter. His bedroom was of course situation across the hall from hers, and she guessed he had it set up that way so that he could intervene if someone ever had decided to enter and use her a leverage against him. She shook her head to bring it back to the present. ”So how is Dick doing?” She finally asked as she turned the final corner before entering the hallway to their rooms. She of course knew that Dick Grayson was original Robin, and that was shortly after she found out that her dad was Batman.

Brittany opened the door to a bedroom it was quite large and much bigger than her room back at home. "He's okay he just quite his job as a police officer though for a new full time job...I'm guessing this is my room?" Alex asked taking another step inside the room getting a good look at it. The walls were a blue color the bed black. She suspected her dad had something to do with the color choices.
She was starting to adjust to the mansion not really ready to live here but to the point where she could block out the lonely feeling the mansion brought. She kinda tossed her bag on the floor, there was nothing of great importance in there anyway except her Angel wing suit and other essentials one brings when one moves to a new home.

Brittany turned the last corner into the long, large hallway that had her room and her father’s room, and now Alex’s room. She remembered the first time she came to the manor, and how much trouble she had gotten into because she didn’t know her way around yet. She must have taken at least two weeks before she learned where everything was, and where she wasn’t allowed to go without her father or Alfred with her. Like the garage for one…
”He’s okay just quite his job as a police officer though for a new full time job…I’m guessing this is my room?”
She wondered what the original Boy Wonder was doing now, if not policing but she mentally shook her head to put it aside for future conversations. She opened the door to the room they had stopped at and then stood back a bit to let Alex peer inside. ”Yeah, it is. Your mom and dad told my dad what you liked, and he had the room decorated for you. I hope you like it. When I first came here, Dad let me pick my colors for my room and did the same thing.” She told the girl, and started to wonder if Alex knew that she wasn’t Bruce’s biological daughter but was adopted like her dad was.
Britt stepped inside slightly after she did, and then smiled. The decorators had indeed done an excellent job. She wondered if they were the same ones that had done her room, and she shrugged at the thought to file away for later to ask her dad. ”My room is to the right of yours, and Dad’s is across the hall. If you want, I can give you a tour of the place, but be warned… This place is huge, and it took me two full weeks to learn it.” She added with a warm smile.

"Much obligued I'd hate to not know where the bathroom is when I finally need to use it" She answered laughing a little. She remembered that being her biggest nightmare when she was in first grade never being able to find the bathroom it was always in the place opposite to where she was going. Kinda sad when you think about it a lost first grader rushing to find a bathroom before school started tragic really.
But there was something Alex wanted to ask Brittany for one if she new the secret of Wayne manor or if she new her secret identity as Angel Wing the sidekick of Nightwing. Something Alex had been sworn to protect with her life ever since she joined her father in the crime fighting business.

Brittany remembered the first thing she learned to find when she first moved in. And she smiled when Alex mentioned it as well. She doubt that the other girl ever had a connecting bathroom, and smiled at the girl. She nodded her head in understanding and walked over to a door that was next to the large walk-in closet, and opened it. ”This is your bathroom. All bedrooms in this wing have their own connecting bathrooms. Dad’s is just larger than the rest.” She finally replied and stepped aside to let Alex take a look inside.
It was like her own bathroom, but hers had a tub that resembled a bat and that her shower stall looked eerily like a cave. Of course it didn’t look like that when she first moved in, but she had it remodeled when she talked her father into training her to fight crime with him. She loved her extracurricular activity that she does at night, and she had her bathroom remodeled to reflect that fact about her. When she was sure that Alex had taken enough of her private bathroom, she smiled at the other girl and stepped back further into the girl’s room. ”Are there any questions you want to ask me before we being the tour?” She asked the girl with a warm, welcoming smile.

'Yes do you know your dad is Batman?' Alex thought mentally but shook her head in a no way. "I'm ready for the tour when you are" Alex said zipping up her bag with her Angel Wing costume extra tight to make sure there was no way it could accidentally open. Then followed Brittany out the room, while she waited for Brittany to decide where to take her next Alex tried not to fantasize about her job.
Fighting crime was exciting to Alex it was her get away to a world where Alex could actually make a difference in someone life. Where she could save people from dying a lock up the bad guys she was someone as Angel Wing.

Brittany tried to think of where to start the tour from, and wondered how she should go about doing it. There were some areas that she still had to have either her father or Alfred with her in order to access them, and one of them was the Batcave. However, she could now go into the garage without supervision, and knew that she was getting to be able to enter her father’s command center without having to be escorted. She thought that they think that she isn’t responsible enough to be trusted with the supercomputer that is the Batcave’s center piece of equipment.
She smiled and nodded her head to Alex and motioned for her to follow as she exited the room and returned to the entry hallway. ”This is the foyer, basically it is the entrance hall to the manor.” She announced as she stopped and turned to face Alex. She then walked over to a door off to the side and opened it. ”This is the living room. It is hardly used since Dad is always busy.” She said with a smile and turned to face Alex. ”Any questions so far?” She asked not wanting to rush the other girl with information.
