Jason inhaled the cold air of New York City. Some of the students at Xavier's were allowed to leave the school and go in to New York City and to be honest Jason was thankful for it. He was still adjusting to being back at the Academy and the new sibling. He was used to Jamie but now he had a girl to worry about too.
A girl with a cold attitude who thought no one could understand her. But he did understand her, she was just like Wolverine and himself. Ex weapons all created to destroy eachother.
Shaking his head of the bad memories of being a weapon....a weapon created to destroy his own father was definately something he didn't want to remember not in the slightest. Pulling the collar up on his black jacket Jason started walking down the busy streets, hand shoved into his pockets looking for something to do.

Technically Jamie wasn't supposed to be away from the institute since he was grounded but really, being back at home was no fun at all. Jamie grinned as he walked down the crowded streets. His breath appeared in front of him in small clouds. He loved the cold weather, it never bothered him, thankfully, it was just so relaxing. Maybe it had something to do with his tie to the weather? Jamie shook it off, that wasn't really something interesting to think about right now. Right now all he was thinking about was finding something to do.
He was glad to be out of the school really. It was so strange with his new 'sister' around, Jamie really didn't know what to think about her. She was more confusing then Jason and Jason was pretty confusing to begin with. Jamie made a face at the thought of his family. His dad really had a lot strange relations. Jamie clenched his hands and stuffed his them in the pockets of his jacket, the cold was starting to get to him a little.
So immersed in his thoughts, Jamie stopped paying attention to where he was going. Slam! Jamie fell to the ground and swore. “Sorry, sorry! I wasn't watching...Jason?” Jamie started to apologize but when he noticed just who he had run into stopped and made a face....would he be in trouble now?

Jason growled to see who had bumped into him till he saw it was none other than his youngest sibling Jamie. Jason groaned as he helped his brother up. The kid was suppose to be grounded and here he was. "I thought you were grounded?" Jason asked. He knew Jamie had a thing with pranks and he tended to get caught for all of them eventually especially since he played a lot of them on their father.
Jason wondered if he should send the boy back to the mansion but that would cut down his time in the city then he probably had to stay since either Storm, Logan or Jamie would dragg him into the fight that would in an argument then his trip being cancelled. Sighing he decided against bringing his brother back to the institute kid needs some freedom anyways.

Jamie tried to look sheepish, but he knew it wasn't working all that well, I mean really the Howlett genes were not made to show much of anything but anger. Of course his mom's DNA helped but he still wasn't good at looking innocent, too many pranks had been pulled to even think about playing innocent. “I, uh, kinda am...” He trailed off and shot his brother a hopeful look he really hoped Jason wouldn't make him go back.
After a few minutes later Jamie grinned, he knew that look Jason thought it would be too much trouble to take him back. He wanted to jump up and down but he resisted the urge Jason might not like that. Instead he just grinned happily at the older boy, “Thanks Jason, for not making me go back. I know you wont make me because then that would get me in trouble and then me and mom would fight and I would end up dragging you in to it and,” Jamie stopped to take a breath and snapped his mouth shut. He really shouldn't be bother Jason like this since he was being nice and not making him go back. “Sorry Jason...” He said letting his eyes fall to the side walk.

Jason sighed the kid tended to ramble a mile a minute. "As far as anyone in the academy will hear about I saw you in a arcade on my way back to the school" Jason shoved his hands into his pocket eyeing Jamie. He wasn't like his father or Faith or Jason. Storm made sure to be there for him that he knew his morals and that killing was wrong. Something the rest of the family learned after having killed.
Jason looked back at the city he didn't have much planned he was hungry and was going to go for a burger he had worked out at the Institutes gym all day skipping lunch and was starved. He looked down at Jamie wondering if maybe he was too. "You hungry I was gonna go to my place and get a burger?" Jason asked the fourteen year old. He'd seen Jamie eat and Jason determined the boy was always hungry. He wondered if he was ever like that with his mom.

Jamie grinned at his brother, not the best he could get, he would still get in trouble for being out of the school but it was better then nothing. Jamie ignored his brother's look and bounced in place he loved being in the city it was so much better then being cooped up in the mansion. The weather was a little more muted because of the pollution but there were more people and Jamie liked people.
He nodded quickly when Jason brought up food. He was always hungry; he wasn't sure if it was a Jamie thing or a teenager thing but he really did it matter? “Please Jason? I skipped out on breakfast to put in a little Danger Room time with dad...I haven't been doing enough lately, or so he says.” Jamie knew he sounded whiny but he didn't see the point in all the danger room sessions. He was a good fighter and it wasn't like his dad would let him do anything anyway. For some reason Logan and Storm tried to keep him away from all the fun stuff, like fights. Jamie clenched his hands again, they hurt again he ignored it and stuffed them back into his pockets. Maybe it was the cold.

Jason smirked a bit down at the kid. He thought it was amusing he didn't know how lucky he was out of the three Howlett children Jamie spent the most time with their father even Jason didn't want to spend much time with him but fighting him amused the idea to Jason to know ends. Fighting Logan was always a bit of a thrill and in Jason's mind the perfect test to see how much he had learned.
"Come on it's this way" Jason said heading down the street the mom and pop resturant illuminating in the city compettiting for the brightest shine. It looked like a resturant out of an 80's movie where you'd see couples drive up to it in a neon convertible to come into it to find waitresses on roller skates and a neon jukebox in the corner. It was one of those places, holding the door in for his brother Jason took a seat on the counter where you could see them make your food.
"Ah Jason long time no see eh? who's your little friend?" a employee named Sam asked. Jason smirked and nodded to him. "I'll take the usual Sam, and this is my brother Jamie" Jason introduced before turning to Jamie. "What do you want to eat?" he asked pulling out his wallet to show he could pay for whatever he wanted.

Jamie followed his brother like a puppy, happily chatting about his day and asking his brother random useless questions. He liked being with his brother, Jason was the coolest. Jamie looked at the little restaurant in amusement. This place didn't look like it fit in New York with all it's new and shiny stuff. Jamie grinned it looked like somewhere his dad would eat, he shot a look at Jason it seemed that they both had more in common then he thought.
The 14 year old hopped up on the stool so he could sit next to his brother and resisted the urge to be annoying. This was so not the time and not the person to mess with, he knew better then to mess with Jason. Jamie looked around the little eatery with wide eyes, people didn't take him out much, sometimes he tended to mess with the weather a little too much, by accident of course, so being out and about was a real treat for the boy.
He heard someone approach before he saw them it looked like an employee that worked here so he went back to his visual exploration. He only turned back when he heard his name, Jamie smiled at the man and waved slightly. He paused for a second when asked what he wanted but when Jason assured him that it was payed for he grinned and ordered. “Um, this one please” He pointed a burger with everything one it. “And a coke, please.” Did he need the caffeine, no but that's why he got it. “Thanks Jason for buying me food.” Jamie smiled at his brother happily.

"No problem" Jason said putting his wallet back into his jacket pocket. He felt bad for the kid sometimes Storm and Logan didn't let him out much usually cause he was still working on controlling his powers but Jason would deal with it himself if he had too. Now that he thought about it he hadn't talked much to Jamie since he'd gotten back from his trips around the country, sure they talked on the phone briefly after Storm told him about Faith for the first time.
"So you've been up to anything since I left?" Jason asked wondering if maybe Jamie already told him about it on his way here. He was told from Storm that his brother really admired him and to be honest Jason noticed since whenever he comes home Jamie is always the the one who looked the happiest to see him the least happiest being his teachers. Jason smirked he just caused trouble for his teachers back at the Institute but it was a given they shouldn't practically invite him to do stuff to them.

Jamie gave his brother an exasperated look, really he could try and pay more attention. “I already told you, but I should have know...you're as bad as dad.” Jamie shook it off quickly and started to re-explain things. “Nothing really to much, the usual. Pulled some awesome pranks got caught almost burned down the kitchen.” Jamie shuddered he hate fire, “Met that girl, um, Ruth something Colossus and Shadowcats kid,” Jamie nearly blushed but move forward. “The whole place smell different with Faith there though...I don't know what to make of her.” Jamie frowned but was soon smiling again when their drinks arrived. He quickly gulped down a quarter of his glass. “Thank you.” He said to the dinner worker.
“So what about you Jason? Did you see anything interesting out there?” Jamie made a vauge motion to the outside. He was rather jealous of his brother he got to go places while he was stuck at home doing drills with his dad. Jamie clenched and unclenched his hand trying to ward off the ache still focused on his brother.

Jason chuckled lightly at Jamie's remark about him and his father then again at what he did while Jason wasn't there. "Nothing much I just went to different places, I trained on my own fighting people in boxing matches and martial arts compettitions. I had to do odd jobs some times sometimes I worked on farms but most of the time I was just being a mechanic....Then I got 500 bucks for fighting a bear" Jason said taking a bite of his burger then downing his soda like his brother.
He didn't really consider what he did much compared to some of the X-men missions he had to do they were ten times harder. Especially ones where their were other humans involved to be honest Jason didn't really care about them if they were the ones who hated mutants but it was the innocent ones he worried about the ones who were at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Jamie's eyes widened a bear. “Nuh Uh, no way. Why would you fight a bear?” Jason had to be kidding with him. He looked away from his brother to take a huge bit of his food, yum. Much better then the stuff at the mansion. That was all health and what not, this was dinner food, his favorite food. Jamie really wished he was more like his brother, he was a total fighter, something that no matter how he tried Jamie couldn't be. No matter what his dad said. That's what separated Jamie from Jason and Faith, despite growing up with the X-men his life was normal and safe. Now Jamie wasn't wishing for something bad to happen but still he wished he had more in common with his siblings. He didn't even had the bone claws that were so infamous in their family.
Jamie took another bite of his food and another long drink of his soda, “Can you help me with the suspension of of this car later? Dad said if I make it run I can have it.” Jamie might have been a gardener like his mother but he still loved cars and working on them like his dad.

"I did it because I was low on cash and those drunken idiots would pay me too" Jason said taking a bit of his hamburger then listened to Jamie's next request about fixing a car. Jason nodded fixing a suspension wasn't too bad it probably wouldn't even take a day for Jason. "Sure" He respond taking a sip of his soda.
Jason took the last bite of his soda thinking about his travels it was fun and all but being back at the Institute had that sense of family to it. There were more people like him at the Institute then there were in the outside world unless you knew where to look. "So has the X-men assigned you any missions lately?" Jason asked. It wasn't odd for him to have his fair share of missions and assignments but he wasn't sure if they started letting Jamie out of cage any time soon.
