For years, super-heroes have been around - defending the towns, saving the people. And super-villains have been on their tail. For years the X-Men strove to find acceptance, the Avengers to find themselves, the Brotherhood to conquer.
But now... It is time for the old to take a step back, and the new to find their footing in a world that still is not quite as accepting as they could hope for. Mutants are no longer openly campaigned against, but groups have set up across the globe that are out to hunt them down. The next generation of mutants has to be ready to face the challenge of bringing things together. They are the hope.
The Young Avengers are now the Avengers, ready to assemble - but they've taken a tough mantle. Things have been passed down to them not everyone likes.
And the Brotherhood? Up to no good as usual.
There is an oncoming storm in the land of heroes and villains, humans and those who are... different.
