Nathan was at horizon labs right now, because he had recently got a part time job here. It was for a number of things. One reason was his father was one of the leading scientists at the labs, and another was that his intellect and scientific ingenuity had impressed them. He was getting paid a good bit of money, even though he was just part time staff. He worked after school on Thursdays and Fridays, as well as the weekends for a few hours. The good thing was that he was discreetly able to use some of the resources for his Spider-Teen career, like his father used to do as Spider-Man. He had already worked a few times at the lab in the last week, and the main breakthrough he had used for his Spider-Teen career was modifying his web-shooters to be more compact and efficient.
Looking up at the clock, Nathan looked back at his current work of a compact shield projector. He had been specializing in defensive works. Looking back at the clock abruptly, Nathan finished up the last bit of his projector. He quickly picked it up and tested it. A shield was projected from the small disk, and Nathan grinned. Putting it down, he quickly wrote a note saying that he had finished up the projector. Leaving the lab quickly, he exited through a vent, and got to the top of the labs. Cracking his neck, he pulled up the hood of his jacket, and looked at his wrists. He had been using the more compact web-shooters. They fired webbing even quicker than the previous one. Pulling the rest of the hood forward, Nathan grinned. His mother, Mary Jane, had helped him convert it into a masked hood, that he could just pull over his face. Spraying a bit of webbing across the neck, he made sure his mask could not be pulled back unless he himself pulled it back.
Running across the roof of the labs, Nathan used the full amount of strength in his legs to leap at least twenty feet into the air. Raising his hand at a very tall skyscraper, a string of webbing landed on it and he flew forwards as he swung across it. If he kept up this pace, he would get to stark towers soon. He was meeting Abby there before they went on their first date, and he did not want to be late. Swinging fast towards the tower, he performed an array of flips as he landed on the top of the tower. Walking into it and towards the board room, he saw Abby and said “Hey Abby. I'm not late, am I?”
