Rachel has the ability to emit flashes of light from her hands at will in a fashion similar to a flashbang explosive.

Weaknesses:
Rachel is human apart from the powers that are similar to her mothers and can be killed in any way a normal woman can.
Rachel is a very confident woman, not one to beat around the bush she knows what she wants and always gets it, she doesn’t try and hide the fact that she wants certain things and will not stop until she achieves what she wants whatever the case may be. Rachel is also extremely confident especially on stage an she will do whatever she wants regardless of what the outcome may be in terms of comments or looks that she gets off of her friends, fans or dancers. Rachel is also extremely seductively charming, you could just think she was not looking for something from you and then all of a sudden she is ripping your clothes off while having you on your back. Rachel is also a young woman that was raised the right way by her parents, she very much knows the difference between right and wrong by her parents and sticks to that very strict credo. She can also be seen as somewhat reckless because she doesn’t consider what the outcome of her actions can be sometimes, especially with her fans she doesn’t consider that obsessive fans might come after her and hurt her.
Rachel was born to Alison Blaire and Sam Guthrie. The pair had been friends or a long time through the xmen and after years of being extremely close they had begun dating, Alison had been hesitant to have a boyfriend because of her musical career an her touring as she didn't think it was fair on the guys she would be dating, however when she dated Sam she was forced with the choice of her career or the X men, surprising many people she chose the X men and took time off from her busy schedule. When Rachel was born Alison and Sam knew that Ali had made the right choice, their little girl was a perfect little baby who in their eyes could do no wrong. Growing up Rachel was doted on by her parents and the Xmen, even though they had made perfectly clear that they had no intention of making Rachel be an Xwoman or anything to do with the team if she didn't wish to be.
In her mid teens Rachel’s powers and amazing singing ability both shone through, impressing both of her parents but especially her mother who had actually gone into the recording business as a scout even though she had decided to end her own career. By the time Rachel was 21 she had her own recording contract, it was because of this that she left New York and moved to where the studio was situated, Gotham City. Rachel also began helping fight crime in the city under the codename flashbang, it was obvious that she was not trusted originally by the batman or the other heroes of gotham when she first arrived in gotham because she was a suspcious mutant who would not reveal her idenity to them which caused them to be caucious of her in that they doubted she genuinely wanted to help them. However, after she convinced them that she was truly trying to help them more specifically Bruce Grayson who was not sure of having a mutant on the JLA.
As Rachel didn't spend all year around in the studio she spent a lot of time just being a hero where she was needed also. It was seemingly because of this that the Justice League believed that she was finally worthy enough to join the team after Desmond helped her try and get onto the team. She eventually became an reserve member of the team as she told them that she could not completely commit to being always around because of her music career which she was still doing the odd tour for.
