• Gifted Beings is still relatively new, so we have numerous canon characters available in addition to many high ranking positions receivable upon request.
  
  
• While the main plot remains Marvel oriented, we do allow the usage of canons from other comics(DC, Image, Dark Horse, etc.) so long as they do not directly interfere with the main plot. So if you want that epic Batman versus Wolverine battle, we say go for it.
  
  
• The site takes place in an Alternate Universe set aside from the comics, so you needn't worry about not knowing enough of your particular canon. In addition, you may modify the history/personality/etc. of any canon characters to fit your desired play style.
  
  
• All our staff remain active so when you finish your character profile, we can give it a look and get you roleplaying as quickly as possible so you aren't waiting for long.

Since the dawn of man, there have always been individuals who possessed gifts far beyond that of their peers. For ages, they were often considered to be gods, or blessed by the gods, but recent science has proven that they are but proof of evolution, the next step in humanity's ever-constant improvement; Mutants. Over the last several decades, more and more people have started revealing that they possess unique gifts, be it from being born a Mutant, freak science accident, dark experimentation or even mystical artifacts. As with any other major event that the world is forced to face, views go in every direction, from one extreme to the other.

Most humans seem to band together out of fear, jealousy and misunderstanding, wishing to do away with all mutants. Some want it to be done in a more simplified manner, such as finding a way to rid them of their powers, keep them under constant surveillance or lock them in prison. However, others think they should just be exterminated out of fear of them taking over and exterminating the humans. Some are for the superhuman beings, for a variety of reasons, while others do not care one way or the other, so long as they are left alone. It is a controversial manner the likes of which have never before been seen, let alone dealt with any efficiency.

A few groups have sprung up over the last two years in order to make sure the Human vs Mutant predicament goes as they feel it should. There is the X-Men; a group of mutants under the guidance of Professor Charles Xavier who wish to create a peaceful world where all people can coexist. Then, there is the Brotherhood; mutants who follow the knowledge of the one known as Magneto, believing that Mutants are superior and that they should rule the world since evolution itself has proven them to be better.
