The music was pumping loudly in the club and bodies were pressed up against one another like sardines while the dance floor lit up various colors. One woman dressed in a short, light teal dress was in the middle, dancing to her own beat. People tried to dance on her, getting in to the music, but she didn't really seem to care all that much about it. She was doing her own thing and didn't seem interested in dancing with anyone specifically. She felt the music flow through her veins, the lyrics zoom through her mind, and the bass thumping in her heart. Her hips moved to the beat much like any woman's hips should and her arms were up in the air as she danced. Her lips moved silently to the words of the song that was being played by the DJ and sweat framed her face. She was panting somewhat as she danced which signaled to the young woman that it was time to go.
After the song she was dancing to ended, Sephora Olsen laughed and screamed before squeezing her way past people to her chair. She waved at her friends and thanked them for the great time before she took one last drink out of her Rum and Coke before she grabbed her jacket and purse and waved at her friends. She walked out of the club and looked around before she turned and made her way towards her apartment. She noticed a few homeless men looking at her and slipped on her long jacket, feeling somewhat uncomfortable. She knew that most of them were harmless, but she was still worried. It was late at night, around two in the morning or so, and to Sephora it was around this time when sketchy things seemed to happen, but she didn't seem to mind all that much. She could handle anything that came her way and that was the way that it was.
At least that's what Sephora thought before a hand reached out of a nearby dark alleyway and grabbed her upper arm. She let out a scream, but it was cut off when a rough hand was placed over her mouth. Sephora struggled against her captor. She quickly threw her head back into her captor's face, causing him to cry out in pain and let her go. She moved forward and turned. At the same time, she lifted up her leg and side kicked him in the face. He fell to the ground and she smiled at him before she felt someone grab both of her arms and pin her to a brick wall. She struggled and went to lash out when she noticed that it was two men who had pinned her to the wall. She growled, not appreciating this. Of course, it was just a facade. She was actually seriously freaking out. "Let go of me!" She yelled before one of the guys held a knife up. She quieted but glared at him, trying to hide the fear behind her eyes. Why was it always her?

Damon was currently patrolling metropolis, he knew that some of the people close to his age or his age was more concerned with partying and having a good time but he had another side of his life that he viewed as extremely important, he was a hero he was superboy, son of superman. Not that it bothered him that he was unable to act like a normal 20 year old because he was able to be something better than the average 20 year old he was a superhero and something that meant that he could help the general public of earth on more than one occasion also the fact that being a hero had made sure that he was going to be able to protect his family and friends also.
Damon had been flying over metropolis when he heard a shout for help. Flying to where he heard the voice he could make out the familiar form of Sephora Olsen, struggling against the wall being pinned by a man.
“I really suggest you don’t do that.” He said crossing his arms over his chest.

Sephora growled and narrowed her eyes at the guy in front of her before watching as his friend got up. She cursed inwardly, wondering if he was going to hit her or anything. Thankfully Sephora had a rather high pain tolerance...for the most part. Sometimes it didn't work out so well in her favor, though. She blamed the fact that she was a human reporter who always seemed to get her nose stuck in places where she didn't belong. She wasn't quite sure how it always happened. Like now. She was just walking home from a club when she was attacked, other times people think she knows Superboy, and she does, but she denies it, saying that she just interviews him and that's all. They hardly ever believe her though, which sometimes causes a problem when they want answers and she can't, or won't, give them up...and then, of course, she either finds a way out, or Superboy comes to save the day...again...
Kind of like now. Sephora couldn't help the thankful sigh that escaped her lips when she saw Superboy. She couldn't help the arrogant smirk that graced her features as the guy looked from her to Superboy and then back at her. The man growled and held the knife closer to her throat, making her feel somewhat nervous. Her eyes snapped to Superboy, wondering what he was going to do. One of the goons had fainted on sight, making Sephora wonder if he was even a criminal or not. The other one stayed pinning her to the wall. "Superboy," she said before she silenced herself when the blade of the knife was pressed against her throat. She looked fearfully at him. Sure, Sephora had faith that Superboy could save the day, but sometimes she worried that one day he'd be too late at saving her and she'd...well...die.

Damon watched as one of the goons fainted upon seeing him, he smirked at that, he knew that he had a reputation of being a dangerous hero, however at the same time he didn’t want Sephora to be in danger. He had found that he had to save her a couple of times recently, not that he was complaining about saving her, but at the same time it was getting repetitive that he had to do it. Not that he would ever complain about having to save a beautiful young woman but at the same time he did wish that Sephora would be more careful.
Walking at superspeed Damon made sure that the man didn’t stand a chance against him pulling the knife away he punched the guy solidly in the jaw before standing in front of Sephora in a defensive manner. “Why is it,” he said with a cheeky grin on his face “that you never seem to be able to keep yourself out of trouble,”

Sephora rolled her eyes when she saw Superboy smirk when the goon fainted. Then, quick as lightening, it seemed, Superboy was between her an the man. He had pulled the knife away and had clocked the guy, which Sephora had to admit was indeed quiet impressive. When he stood in front of her defensively, a chuckle escaped her lips and she shook her head, rubbing her wrists and arms which were sore from being held to the brick wall. She noticed that the men in front of Superboy had lined up. There were only the two of them though and they seemed to notice it. Their angered looks dropped and so did their pride it seemed as they turned and grabbed both of their now unconscious men and ran away from the superhero that had just saved the damsel in distress. Sephora shook her head, though, wondering why in the world she had ever become a reporter or gone out at night seeing as Superboy always seemed to have to save her...and apparently he had noticed.
Another chuckle escaped Sephora's lips as she moved away from behind him and sighed, looking at the caped man in red and blue spandex. "Oh you know me, Superboy, I just love playing the Damsel in Distress," she said sarcastically as she shook her head and rolled her eyes. She looked down at her wrists, which had started to bruise and shook her head. "I don't even know why it's always me. I mean...sometimes it's because of you but from time to time, Superboy, it's just because I'm in the wrong places at the wrong time." She shrugged. "I'm not sure why it's always me, though," she said before looking up at him. She smiled. "Thanks for always saving me, though. I'm glad someone out there gives a crap...at the very least about one...D.I.D." She smiled at him a bit weakly.

Damon sighed, he had never tried to save Sephora all of the time, he had tried to ensure that she hadn’t needed saving and crime was down most times, just she seemed to seek out the trouble, that was something his mother had done also, even when she didn’t know that she had superman watching her back his mother had gotten into problem after problem, it appeared to be something that stuck to reporters, they could never stay away from trouble, however he always did his best to keep her safe. One because he knew her father and would always protect her because he respected her father as a man and therefore would not let harm come to her. Secondly she was a friend, and a close friend at that, therefore he was going to try his best to keep her safe.
“I don’t know,” he told her truthfully, “but I swear to you, I am going to keep you safe, there is nothing that can stop me from doing so, unless you load a room full of my weaknesses and make sure I can’t get out before you rush off and do something stupid.”

Sephora shook her head somewhat when Damon sighed. She knew that he probably got tired of having to save her all of the time, but it really wasn't her fault. She just always seemed to be where trouble started and seemed to be. It wasn't like she went out looking for trouble. Trouble just usually found her and it was the way that it was. She wasn't sure why or how, but it was the way that it was. Hell, even Lois had been saved by Clark on several occasions, which she thought was weird seeing as they ended up dating and getting married and then Lois had Superboy. It was a few years after Sephora's mother had her and passed that Lois had Superboy and she had had plenty of practice with young Sephora since Jimmy had often asked Lois for help when it came to raising Sephora, although Superboy and Sephora had never actually met as children, which Sephora found seriously odd but then again, she was sure that there was a good reason behind it.
When Superboy told her that he didn't know but that he swore that he would keep her safe, she smiled, a light blush on her cheeks. She punched his shoulder playfully. "Oh shush...now are you going to walk me home? Or would that look weird?" She teased with a smile before waving her hand dismissively. "Oh wait, of course not. You're patrolling. I don't want to take you away from anyone else who would need saving," she said honestly. Being friends with Superboy had its perks. She loved being able to mess with the Man of Steel's son. It was fun and she really enjoyed herself. "And don't worry. I don't plan to lock you in a room wall to wall with your weaknesses before rushing off to do something stupid. I'll make sure to leave you a note though if I ever do decide to go do something stupid," she teased with a smile before tucking her hair behind her ear.

Damon smirked and faked a wince when she punched his shoulder, the hero would often fly around and follow the young woman that he had saved over the years, even though it was not something he had been proud of he had done it since he was around 15 or 16, he had always been curious about Jimmy Olsen’s daughter, even though he hadn’t met her as Damon Kent, he had met her enough as Superboy, even though he was annoyed that he hadn’t been able to take her for a coffee or something it made him less annoyed that he had actually gotten to meet her.
“I can fly you home,” he said evenly “it is fast, plus that way I know that you are getting home safely, I doubt that my parents or your dad would forgive me if I let you get hurt,” he knew that they where alone in the alleyway which had been why he had been more familiar with her, he didn’t know what it was about her but it made him relax, it was something he liked, even if it wouldn’t admit it. “and I am sure you would, you always did have some crazy ideas,”

Sephora noted that Damon smirked and winced when she punched his shoulder. She knew he was faking it, but she didn't call him out. It was nice to know that he enjoyed making her feel better, even if she was just punching him on the shoulder playfully. It's not like she actually meant to punch him hard and cause damage...not that she could. He was Superboy after all and she doubted that anything could hurt him besides any potential weaknesses that he might have. Of course, Sephora doubted that he had any weaknesses that were easy to figure out. After all, his father had practically no weaknesses at all besides Lois and Kryptonite, which Sephora's father had explained to her one day, not that she was ever going to tell anyone. Sephora and her father told each other everything, seeing as they were the only family that they had. Sure they had Lois and Clark, but Sephora wasn't about to tell them how she had the hugest crush on their son.
When Superboy said that he could fly her home, she smiled at him before he continued on saying that it was fast and that way she knew that she would be getting home safely. He then went on to talk about their parents and how they wouldn't forgive him if she ever got hurt. Sephora shook her head gently before he said that he was sure she would since she always had crazy ideas. Sephora laughed gently. "For your information, Superboy, I happen to have fantastic ideas...they just don't always go to plan like I want them to." More often than not, Sephora's plans blew up in her face, not that she minded. She knew that, well, Superboy would always be there for her and she'd hardly ever have anything to worry about. Sure, she had doubts that he wouldn't always be able to save her, but then again, Sephora's arrogance believed that she didn't need to be saved...well...all the time.

Damon laughed when Sephora said that she had good ideas but they just didn’t play out how she had wanted, he had to admit he had seen that over the years, it wasn’t that she had always needed saving because she was always a burden, more it was because he was overprotective of Jimmy’s daughter that he had saved her as many times as he had. He knew that she could possibly been sick of him saving her but at the same time he didn’t care, he would always save her if he had to, after all her family was practically family to him, even if he hadn’t met her as Damon Kent.
“I know they don’t.” He said with a smile to her, he didn’t want to seem like he was having a go at her but at the same time it was just something that he had realised over time and he felt like she should have pointed it out. “but do you want me to fly you home?”

Sephora pouted cutely when Superboy laughed at her when she said that she had good ideas but the didn't play out the way that she wanted. "Don't laugh at me, Superboy," she said before blowing a raspberry at him. It was then that she heard Superboy said that he knew they didn't and pouted once again. Sometimes she thought that Superboy enjoyed making fun of her, which she didn't really like seeing as, well, Sephora didn't like to admit it but she was, sort of, infatuated with Superboy. He had always been around and he had always saved her and protected her. She didn't like to admit it because, well, it was like a celebrity crush. Sure, Sephora and Superboy were friends and everything, but he was still like a celebrity and besides, there was no way that Superboy would ever fall for Sephora. She was a reporter...and he was...well...super and a hero. Sure, Superman fell for Lois Lane, but...well...that was a rare instance in Sephora's mind.
When Superboy asked if she wanted him to fly her home, she paused and then nodded. "Yeah, sounds good. I don't think I'd want to walk home in these things anyway," she said while looking down at her feet and grimaced at the thought of having to walk home in her heels. She looked back up at him and smiled. "Thanks, Superboy," she said with a kind smile in his direction. She sighed and tightened her jacket around her form before she looked down as her heeled foot hit something. She noticed that it was the guy's knife. She blinked a bit and picked it up. She looked down at it and smiled and looked it over before she walked over to a nearby trashcan and dropped it inside. She then walked back over to Superboy. "Alright, we can go now," she said with a smile before she linked arms with him. "How do you want to do this?" She asked him after a moment, looking up at him and trying not to get distracted by his face. [/size]

Damon couldn’t help laugh again when she blew a raspberry at him, there was just something about her, that was cute in the way that she was. He knew that she was older than him but at the same time she could sometimes be immature, not in a bad way though almost in an indeering way, that she didn’t always act seriously and was willing to have a laugh and a joke, it was not something that would be expected, not always something that was a problem also.
“No problem,” he said when she thanked him for offering to take her home, then he watched as she walked over to a near by trashcan and dropped the knife in it before walking over to him and asking him how he was going to fly her home. “How about you climb on my back and hold on real tight?” he offered.

Sephora smiled at Superboy and shook her head a moment before giggling at him. She couldn’t help but giggle at him. She really did like Superboy, but alas, he would never feel that way for her, now would he? Of course he wouldn’t. He was Superboy why would he ever fall for someone like Sephora. He probably wanted a woman who could take care of herself and not get into loads and loads of trouble on a weekly, if not daily basis. Perhaps Sephora should try to distance herself from the son of Superman, but then again, their families were best friends. Jimmy Olsen was best friends with Clark Kent and Lois Lane. So, the three of them knowing each other into their current ages was no shocking feet. Of course that was just how life was, even if Sephora had no idea who Superboy really was. That was one thing that she would always tell the truth about when she was captured by someone who wanted to take down Superboy. She had no idea what his name was.
Sephora blinked a moment, looking at Superboy. "Climb on your back and hold on real tight?" She asked before she nodded her head. "Alright. Hold on though," she said as she moved behind him and attempted to jump on his back. She squealed a little and landed back on her feet. She looked down. "I sense a flaw in your plan, Superboy," she said while looking over at him before she walked around to his front and pointed at herself. "I'm wearing a dress, buddy boy, and a small tight one at that. I can't exactly jump on your back in this thing," she explained. "So...any other ideas, S.B.?" She asked curiously, her head tilted to the side as she looked over at him.

Damon smirked at her comment, he had slightly suggested the idea because of what she was wearing but at the same time it had been the easiest way he could come up with, if they had tried face to face it would have lead to him flying into something because of the amount of attention he would have paid to her, which would not have been good if they had crashed into something, his intentions had been to get her home safely, not to kill her, after all he cared for her too much to kill her in a stupid accident. Stooping down he made it easy for her to get on his back.
“This is the easiest way beautiful,” he said “now before they decide that they have enough people to come back and try again lets go,”

Sephora saw the smirk on Superboy's face when she pointed to what she was wearing and frowned at him somewhat. She raised an eyebrow at her and moved so that one of her hands was on her hip and her hip jutted out to the side. One of her feet started tapping as she looked at him, clearly suspicious of him now seeing as he was smirking at the fact that she was wearing a dress. It was then that he stooped down and told her that it was the easiest way and called her beautiful. She blushed gently but didn't move. Then he said that she should now before they decided that they had enough people to come back and try to...do whatever they wanted to do to her before. She sighed and shook her head before she turned and walked behind him. Once behind him she hiked up her dress as far as she could while still being modest and jumped on his back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and shook her head.
As Sephora waited for him to stand up and take off, she began to think. He had done this on purpose because of what she was wearing. She leaned forward, her chin resting on his shoulder. "Did you do that on purpose, Superboy?" She asked him before wondering if he would know what she was talking about. Sephora shook her head a moment, thinking he wouldn't and chose to elaborate. "I mean did you choose for me to jump on your back while I'm in nothing but my jacket and my short little dress? I mean, no offense, but I don't think all of Metropolis wants to see my underwear, Superboy," she said, chuckling gently. She couldn't help it. A side of her thought it was funny that he had saved her and yet he was willing to allow her to show off her butt and underwear to the entire city.
