Nathan noticed the dreamy smile that Abby had on her face, and he smiled a smile similar to hers, but not as dreamy. Her smile was beautiful right now, as were all of her smiles. He had avoided being with anyone right now, because as a superhero, he was always in danger of getting the people he loved hurt. However, he had always had this crush on Abby, because of her natural charisma and beauty. She was one of the nicest girls he knew, and he admired the fact she was so smart and an amazing leader. But, he also liked her just for everything else. She was a great friend, and he didn’t know how their future would go, but he knew he would try and protect her however he could.
“Nathan, the way I upgrade my suits and weapons is connected with how I know machinery and technology works. The moment I saw your armor I knew what the flaws were, and how to immediately fix them. You had some good ideas, but with how you had used them produced flaws in the armor that had weakened it. Thus allowing those stingers to injure you. The armor suits that Dad designed can withstand falling boulders protecting the wearer from major injury and harm. They can stop some measly stingers. But if someone who doesn’t know what they are doing can make the suit perform below expected operating level if they tinker with it… Not that you didn’t know what you were doing, but the theory is the same.”
Nathan knew he shouldn’t be that hurt, but he was a bit. He knew the armor was not entirely ready for combat, but he had thought that it had been a good design. Looking at Abby, he wondered if she was worried what she said might hurt his feelings and ruin their new relationship. Thinking what he would say, Nathan decided to be honest. He then said “Abby, I know you’re being honest. I understand that. And I should be honest as well. My suit, it wasn’t perfect, I know that. The main reason it wasn’t perfect was because it was only a prototype. There were adjustments to make, I know that. I.....I want to know that, if you’ll help me with my armor. It can be our special thing, working on our armors. If you want.” Smiling at her, he said “Its fine that you told me this truth. yeah, I’m a bit hurt, but it isn’t like my feelings are seriously hurt.”

Goldy plat iron armor to Versace suits, I'm so elegant Scientifically intelligent Abby really did hope her mouth didn't get her in trouble with Nathan. She really liked him, and hoped what she told him didn't hurt him. She always had that effect on people when she pointed out things that way. She looked away thinking what a doofus she was, somehow knowing she had hurt him with her honesty. It was something she didn't inherit from her father, as the older Stark had a sliver tongue with the opposite gender. She had his brains, but she must have gotten out of line when they were handing out the other parental gifts. She knew it would be her ultimate downfall with relationships one day, but hopes that today isn't it. She really likes Nathan, and wouldn't want to ruin it between them.

She looked at him as he spoke, and her bottom lip was caught between her teeth in worry. She hurt him, and she didn't mean to. She licked her lips in an effort to keep herself from showing just how much she got upset by hurting him. She was like her father, as if she got attached to someone she showed her feeling to them. Her father on the other hand can hide them well, and she suddenly wished she knew how he did it. She of course nodded her answer to his idea of working on their armors together, and then turned away from him. ”I'm sorry, Nathan. I didn't mean to hurt you... I could never get that right. Not like Dad. Sure I got his brains, but I skipped out on his silver tongue.” She told him quietly, underlying that she'll understand if he didn't want to see her again.

Nathan wondered if Abby was okay. She was quiet, which was unusual, as she usually liked to talk about any new technology she had made, and he thought it was a nice thing. However, he had a feeling why she was being quiet. However, he stopped thinking about this for one second, as he felt a sort of itching sensation where his stitched wound was. His accelerated healing factor was beginning to kick in. His was slightly more advanced than his fathers, which would mean he;d heal up within a day and a half at most. He was happy to be healing at this pace, and his thoughts went back to Abby. Ever since he had known her, he had always known that she could say the wrongs things at times. However, he didn't care that she did that, he was just happy to be with her and he was hoping that she wouldn't think she had ruined their relationship.
”I'm sorry, Nathan. I didn't mean to hurt you... I could never get that right. Not like Dad. Sure I got his brains, but I skipped out on his silver tongue.” Nathan knew that she was now worried that she had ruined their relationship. Due to his intuition and the fact he knew Abby quite well, he was so sure that he would need to tell her that she had not wrecked their relationship and that he would have needed to hear that about his armour soon enough, or he could of gotten a lot more hurt than he had.
Taking a deep breathe as he was about to explain all of this to Abby, Nathan thought about what he was going to say to her. Deciding quickly, Nathan began. “Abby, don't worry. No matter what, anyone had said, sugar coated or not, my feelings on the matter of my armour would have been hurt. However, right now Abby, my feelings are not hurt that much. I am happy that you were honest, and I want you to know something.” Taking her hand, he looked her in her beautiful eyes and he said “No matter what you say, I will always care for you and it will not ruin out relationship. I am happy to be with you Abby, and I want to keep seeing you. You are the girl I'm happy to be with, and you are amazing and no matter what other people say, I think you are amazing.” Leaning forward, he kissed her on the lips gently.

Goldy plat iron armor to Versace suits, I'm so elegant Scientifically intelligent Abby was so freaking worried that he would just lift up his arm and pointed her out the door while telling her that he didn't want to see her again, that she stood there wringing her hands in front of her while playing with her feet on the tiled floor at his side. She prepared herself to pull away from him and walk toward the door, as she steeled herself to never see the boy she liked again. She really liked him, and when he showed up with her suit earlier she was elated that he did. She didn't know it then but he would have been the second person she wanted to see after her father, and she had hoped that he knew that. She started to pull away from him and initiate the turn to walk out, when she heard him take a deep breath. She paused as she listened to him speak and then he took her hand, she then turned to face him again.
“Abby, don't worry. No matter what, anyone had said, sugar coated or not, my feelings on the matter of my armour would have been hurt. However, right now Abby, my feelings are not hurt that much. She swallowed the sad tears that threatened to spill out onto her cheeks as she listened to him tell her that he still wanted to see her. As he leaned forward toward her, she could only do one thing and one thing only. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back before gently crawling into the bed with him and curled up on his uninjured side. ”Nate, I know you are amazing. I find you and your abilities amazing, but I'm scared I'm going to say something stupid and you don't want to see me... I just hope my mouth doesn't get us into trouble...” She said as she buried her face into his neck, and closed her eyes. She was suddenly tired, and would hope she could get a small nap.

Nathan was finding it a bit hard to focus right now, and he realized what was the cause of this. He was tired, and needed to sleep a bit. It was probably from a combination of the painkillers and the fact he was extremely tired, as he had been working for hours on his armour before he had left to save Abby. He was struggling to maintain his consciousness, as he wanted to keep talking to Abby. She was always interesting to talk, and she was beautiful and smart, and she was with him. Nathan had liked her for a long time, and he was happy that they were together. However, he had to help her get over the fact she thought she had wrecked their relationship. Before he had begun speaking, he had noticed her turn away, and he was fairly certain why that was. He was glad she didn't walk away, as he was afraid that she might think that she would leave the room and not listen to what he would say. He was relieved when she did stay and listened to him speak.
Nathan smiled internally when Abby kissed him back, and wrapped her arms around his neck. He listened to what she had to say to him. He was a tiny bit surprised when she climbed into the bed, and curled up on his side which wasn't stitched. He listened to her as she said “Nate, I know you are amazing. I find you and your abilities amazing, but I'm scared I'm going to say something stupid and you don't want to see me... I just hope my mouth doesn't get us into trouble...” And then, she buried her face into his neck, and she fells asleep. Kissing her forehead, he said “Have a nice sleep Abby.” After he said that, his eyes began to drift close. Exhaustion was coming upon him, and he needed to have a sleep. Laying his head back on the pillow, he took several deep breathes and he fell asleep, drifting into dreams of what life would hold. What he didn't know was that he was actually seeing some small glimpses of the future in his dreams, his spider-sense acting like true precognition now.
