Astra flew silently over the city, floating on the thermals as she stared down at the people there. She turned her wings down and started towards the closest park, landing silently in a secluded area. She smiled softly to a few people and bowed her head a little in greeting as she started walking, folding her wings over her shoulders. It had been a long time since her last visit to Jersey, she wanted to see if anything had changed.
She looked around as she walked, smiling to a few people as she walked. The few people who weren't thinking about how odd she was, or worse. She concentrated a little, stretching her mind out to the area around her, scanning the surface thoughts of the people around the next few blocks. She wasn't in New York at the moment, but that didn't mean she wouldn't stop keeping an 'ear' out for crime.

Jarod was floating in the air, observing the park below him. He had followed a rumor that his brother or his father was in Jersey, and he of course had to find out if there was some truth to this rumor. So far it was only that, a rumor. So he levitated above the park and watched the innocent people below him, in a very protective vigil. Of course it wasn’t too long before he noticed an arrival of a golden feathered individual into the park. Of course this new arrival intrigued him.
He watched this unique figure for a few moment, and smiled as he tried to figure this person out. After watching them for a bit, he felt someone trying to read his surface thoughts. His immediate reaction was to protect his thoughts, but he pushed it back and decided to do something else. He teleported behind the golden person with wings in a flash of an eye, and smiled his charming smile. ”Hello, can I help you find something?” He sent to the angel looking figure in front of him telepathically.

Astra paused as her mind touched a walled mind. That was rare enough that it caught her interest. She closed her eyes and reached out with her mind to the other person, trying to find where they were. She was surprise to find the mind coming closer to her, but then the person spoke to her telepathically. She opened her eyes and turned, smiling as she saw the young man smiling to her.
"Hello, there. I am not looking for anything, really. I came to see the city. Though a hero's work is never done, is it?"
She cocked her head to the side a little at this comment, interested in this young man. While she wasn't digging in his mind, she sensed that he seemed to be searching for something himself. This had her curious. She held her hand out to him, glad she'd remembered to wear her claw covers today.
"My name is Astra. What is yours?"

Jarod watched the golden angel carefully, and intrigued by this figure. In all his travels, he had never came across such a being and he was the brainy one out of his siblings. He of course had to admit that he wanted to learn more about this being before him, so much so that he would be willing to put his search for his father and brother on hold just to do so. When the figure turned to face him, he was of course in slight awe at the sight of the face.
"Hello, there. I am not looking for anything, really. I came to see the city. Though a hero's work is never done, is it? My name is Astra. What is yours?"
He turned up the intensity of his smile as he heard the creature speak in his mind. If the angelic figure had indeed wanted to dig around his head for a moment or two, he of course wouldn’t have minded much. However, if he felt that the digging was getting too deep and too personal, he wouldn’t have much trouble in stopping the search. But of course that didn’t happen, and he smiled some more when the figure held out a hand to him. ”I’m Jarod. Please forgive me for asking, but I must know. What are you, Astra?” He responded mentally and took her hand before kissing it like a gentleman of an older time.

She couldn't help but return a little of the large smile as she saw the boy before her. She could sense his awe at her form, which caused her smile to soften a little. It had been a long time since she'd sensed anyone feeling this way when they looked at her. Everyone at the school was used to her appearance, and when new students came along, there were many others who looked much more interesting than she did.
Her smile grew a little as he heard her Telepathic words, able to see his joy at the prospect. of speaking to someone Telepathically. She had to admit, when he kissed her hand, she blushed a little. She hadn't had someone do that since she'd left the Empire. Though, people rarely shook her hand anyway, considering her large claws. Even with the blunted metal covers, people were wary of her hands. She smiled as he asked what she was, a question she was asked at least once a day.
"I'm a Mutant, in part. I'm also half alien. My mother is the Empress of the Shi'ar people. If I may ask, what are you?"
She cocked her head to the side as she asked him the same question. She was curious about this young man. He had powers of some kind, but she couldn't tell through his thoughts whether they were mutant powers or alien powers.

Jarod watched Astra, trying to figure out what about her interested him. Granted he hadn’t been to his mother’s dimension, but very little things interested him like this being before him. He didn’t know if it was the golden color, the feathers, or the wings that held him in. However, he hadn’t spoken this way since he left home and his brother left for the Dark Dimension to visit their mother. He missed his father and his brother, and finding someone whom he can have a conversation in this medium thrilled him silently.
I’m a Mutant, in part. I’m also half alien. My mother is the Empress of the Shi’ar people. If I may ask, what are you?”
He of course smiled at her, and nodded his head to let her know that she could indeed ask him that question. However, he wasn’t sure on how she would receive the information she was asking for. ”I am half human and half extradimensional. My father, Doctor Stephen Strange, raised me and my brother since we were infants. My mother, Clea Strange, is the princess of the Dark Dimension. She gave the two of us up at birth.” He replied and waited for her reaction to this information.

She sensed his excitement at speaking telepathically with another person, which made her smile even more. She was enjoying this boy and his excitement at what seemed like the simplest things. She was so used to being Telepathic that it just seemed like something mundane and every day. she always forgot about those that rarely, if ever, spoke with someone else Telepathic. When he explained what he was, she raised an eyebrow in interest. She'd heard of extradimensional beings, but she had never actually met one. He looked human, so the other dimension must not be too terribly different from this one. It was something to ponder
" 'Us'? You have a sibling?"
She found herself growing a little jealous of him. She had always wanted a little brother or sister to help her mother care for, but she'd never gotten that. Though she did love caring for the younger children at the school, especially the pre teen children who needed her most. She looked around, then back at Jarod, smiling to him.
"What is your mother like? I would like to meet her."

Jarod was indeed excited to find someone else to speak with telepathically besides his father and brother. This ability is very rare to happen across, and he found himself luck that he had come across this beautiful angelic like creature before him. He suddenly found himself not wanting to leave Astra, just so that he can have the pleasure of communicating like this. He does not know where his brother or father are, so he can not talk to them in this means. He found himself smiling slightly in delight over this feeling.
”’Us‘? You have a sibling?”
He nodded his in answer before adding mentally more information on that subject. ”A twin. He is lost. Along with my father…” He sent to her sadly. He really missed his brother and father, and he wanted to find them before this loneliness eats him up completely. He didn’t know what he would do if he didn’t find them soon, and of course he had been searching for them for months. He was beginning to think he would never find them…
”What is your mother like? I would like to meet her.”
Jarod looked at her sadly as she mentioned his mother. How was he suppose to answer her question, if he himself doesn’t know. He suddenly knew the reason now why his brother chose to go back to the Dark Dimension, he wanted to meet and get to know their mother. ”I don’t know. She gave us up to our father just shortly after we were born…” He finally answered her sadly.
