Gabriel walked down the busy city street as he was headed to a nearby club that had an open mic night and so he decided that he would get out of the mansion for at least a little bit. he might even be lucky and find himself a boyfriend though the chance for that seemed slim considering he had been single most of his life. Gabriel found the club and entered with no problem as the club was an open club to anyone over the age of sixteen though the younger guest still had to be out by curfew unless they want to receive a curfew ticket.
The club was full of small four seating tables with white table clothes and the soft glow of candle that sat in the middle of the comfortable table. The lights were down low and the temperature was comfortable not to stuffy and not to cold with plenty of people to socialize with and meet. Gabe was a regular to the club and so he knew the bartender well and after signing up on the list Gabe made his way to a nearby empty barstool and ordered a coke with light ice as he waited for his name to be called.
He had no problem with playing in front of stranger and had in fact been taking piano lesson and singing lessons since he was little and was rather skilled at it hoped that he could get a record deal someday. though with his secret double life it just did not seem like he would be able to balance his double life which was slightly depressing as he took a sip of his soda. The girl on stage was a beautiful woman who was singing a upbeat country song that praised the sweet simple life of the country.

It had been a long day...a really long day to poor Chance Alderyce as she walked down the streets of New York City, New York. He had traveled from his apartment up in the middle of Bumfizzle[had to censor >.>], New York all the way here. Why? Chance still wasn't sure. He just...had a feeling that he should go to New York City and look around. He did enjoy being around his favorite people. Of course, things didn't always work out in his favor so he had yet to figure out why he was listening to that stupid feeling in his gut that said something good was going to happen. It had never been right before. Like the night he thought his parents were going to make up and, well, they hadn't. Instead his mother had left and he hadn't heard from her since. Sometimes he wondered if she even ever wanted to be around him in the first place. Sure, he knew his mother stuck around for a while, but then she seemed to leave so easily. He didn't know if she even loved him...
Chance shook those thoughts from his head as he arrived at a club that he had been at a few times before. He got in without much of a problem and looked around. It was the same as always with those four small tables and their white table clothes. He always did like that in the center of the tables were candles and that the lights were down low. It was amazingly comfortable in this small club and he really enjoyed himself in here. He walked up to the bar for a drink but before he turned and looked at the young woman on stage who was singing a country song, making him grin a bit. He wished he had singing skills or any kind of music skills. All Chance could really do was dance and he loved dancing. It was his passion and never before had he loved anyone or anything in the same way that he loved dancing. It was his life...save for, you know, the whole...being a mutant and taking down mutant haters.
After hearing the young woman singing, he walked over to the bar and sat down a few seats away from one other gentleman at the bar. He ordered himself a Crown and Coke before turning back towards the stage to watch the young woman at work. He couldn't help the small smile that tugged at his lips. She was passionate, he'd give her that. Chance turned back to the bar when he heard a glass being set down in front of him. He nodded to the bartender and sipped at his drink before he turned and noticed the man a few seats down at him. He couldn't help but admire him, at least for a moment before his eyes moved back around the club to see what was going on. So far, there weren't too many people in the club and to be honest, Chance liked it like that. He wasn't usually one for crowded spaces unless he was dancing, of course.

Gabe was next asone of the stage mangers came out and got him just as a Blnde man sat down next to him who caused him to blush slightly as Gabe could not stop staring until the stage manager had to drag him away where he quickly recovered. The back stage was busy with all sorts of activity as people were walking pack in fourth as everyone had there own thing to do as he climbed up onto the stage as the curtain were pulled open. Gabe walked over to the Piano that was now in the center of the stage as the blinding stage light faded to a soft blue glow. "My name is Gabe and I will be singing a cover of Beyonce called Smack into You. I hope you love it as much as I do and I hope that if your out there Mr. Right that you are listening to the song and we run into each other." With that Gabe began playing as he sank with every once of love and emotion that he could muster as he looked up and scanned the room as he searched for the Blonde hair man that he had seen before and when he found him he did not break eye contacted until the song was over and he could hear the applause from the crowd. Gabe stood and bowed slightly as he once again exited the stage and reclaimed his seat at the bar as several people approached and spoke highly of his skill and beautiful voice. Chance gazed at the man who had been seated a few stools down from him at the bar. He noticed that someone dragged him away and raised an eyebrow at him a moment before he watched as he heard the stage hands ran around the stage, getting all sorts of things set up, or so he could imagine. There was a curtain blocking him from viewing what they were doing, not that he minded. He was used to this kind of thing as he usually was one of the ones behind the curtain, but mostly just getting all set up for his next dance number. Chance turned back to his drink and sipped at it before he pulled out his money and set it down on the bar in front of him. His ears perked up though when he heard the curtain open. He turned and blinked rapidly upon seeing the young man who had been seated near him on the stage and walking towards a piano. He raised an eyebrow and waited to see what was going to happen as the young man sat down at the beautiful, large instrument and the lights dimmed to a nice blue.
There was now a sort of romantic, yet sad feel in the room since the lights had dimmed. After a moment though, Chance looked over at the man who was sitting at the piano. He heard as he the man introduced himself as Gabe and said that he was going to sing a cover of Beyonce's song Smack into You, which Chance had heard a few times prior to this. He then said that he hoped that if his Mr. Right was out there that he was listening to the song and that they run in to each other. Chance's eyebrows rose. The attractive man before him was looking for Mr. Right. How interesting he thought to himself before Gabe began to play. The music that flowed through Chance's ears made him feel like a pile of putty. Then when Gabe added his voice into the mix, Chance could have swore he felt himself fall in love with the dark haired beauty before him. He was sort of stunned though when Gabe seemed to lock eyes with him and sing to him until the song was over. He blinked as Gabe finished the song and bowed before he exited the stage and headed towards the bar.
As soon as Gabe sat down, people swarmed around him like bees towards a flower. Chance heard the various compliments that Gabe received from the patrons at the bar and grinned somewhat. He turned and remained quiet as he sipped his drink. After a moment, they all seemed to die away and Chance took this opportunity to say something. He looked over at Gabe and smirked somewhat. "As I'm sure you already know, you're extremely talented with both your piano playing and voice, Gabe," he complimented, his smirk turning in to a smile for some strange reason. He was confused for a moment, although his face didn't show it. Why had he not keep that smirk on his face? Why had it turned into a smile? What in the hell was this strange, jumping feeling in Chance's stomach? He both liked and hated it and was unsure about what he was going to do about it. For right now, though, he would ignore it seeing as he didn't want to seem weird to Gabe. [/size]

Gabe smiled and shook a few hands and was surprised when he received a few numbers though he was only interested in the number of one particular patron and when everyone cleared out it was that one patron that was talking to him which caused him to smile big. Gabe looked up into the mans deep blue eyes and bit the inside of his mouth slightly to keep himself from sighing out loud and making him seem love struck as he was afraid that the man would freak out if Gabe simply sighed like a little school girl if he was in fact straight. Gabe almost missed what the man had said as he was lost in the mans eyes until he snapped out of his daze and focused.
"Ughh.... umm thank you very much for the compliment, I would introduce myself but that would seem a little redundant since you already know my name. May I ask what is your name though unless of course you would like to remain mysterious and such!" Gabe said as he did a mental face palm .... mysterious and such what the heck was that? He was so going to look like a dork now that he put his foot in his mouth. He blushed a slight shade of red as he took a sip of his drink he attempted to seem less interested in the man as that would be alot wiser at this moment. It was not everyday that he encountered an attractive man and definitely not one he sang to in a crowded bar.

Chance couldn't help but turn his smile into a smirk somewhat when Gabe looked over at him. He noticed that his smile grew when he spoke to him and that boosted Chance's confidence quite a bit. The man had never really had someone react that way towards him before. It was usually a school girl sigh(mostly by girls) or guys treating him like one of the guys, not that he really minded, but for once he wouldn't mind it if a guy treated him like he was...well...a lover instead of just a friend. Of course, Chance knew that having a lover with his job wasn't the wisest idea ever. He was a bad guy, a villain, and as such he couldn't have anyone. If he did, they could be put in danger by other villains or used against him by heroes and he didn't want that to happen, especially if he really cared for them. Chance knew that if he ever had a lover, they'd need to be a villain like he was...or a hero, but he knew that hero wasn't going to happen unless they were like Mr. and Mrs. Smith...
When Gabe spoke, Chance grinned at him, unable to help himself as he thanked him and said that he would introduce himself, but it would seem redundant. Chance chuckled a little as Gabe sort of...rambled. It was cute. "My name is Chance," he said, careful not to give his last name. He knew that wouldn't be wise. Sure, not many people knew that Chance's father John was known as Pyro, but a few people did, especially if they were mutants and as Chance knew very well, mutants could blend in with humans rather well...until their powers came out of course. Chance knew that fairly well as well. Chance saw the bit of red on Gabe's cheek and grinned even more as he watched the male beside him take a drink. Chance took a drink as well and turned to him. "It's a pleasure to meet such a wonderfully talented person, Gabe," he said honestly with a sincere smile on his face...which was odd for Chance. What was wrong with him?

"Its a pleasure to meet you as well ...Chance!" Gabe said as he let the mans name to come out more as a breathless whisper as he blushed slightly before looking down at his hands and smiling slightly. Gabe had dated before and was not as inexperience as he felt though he never felt this way with anyone before... sure Chance was gorgeous in his own rights with that bad boy air but something else drew him to the guy and it was that had him acting like a starry eyed little boy. Gabe looked over and decided to sit a little closer as he had a sudden urge to be spontaneous and brave.
He could smell the mix of the alcohol with the smell of the mans cologne and it was intoxicating. Gabe did not drink because for some odd reason it messed with his body his friends like to joke that it was because he was in fact a real angel and therefore was unable to do wrong. There maybe some truth as he was unable to perform evil deeds such as smoking or drinking. "So what brings you to this part of time if you don't mind me asking?" He asked as he did not want the conversation to end.

Chance grinned as he heard Gabe say his name. He had to admit that he kind of liked the way it sounded coming from his lips. It was cute that he seemed to breathlessly say his name, but Chance wrote it off as the fact that perhaps Gabe still hadn't gotten his breath back from singing or talking to so many people. Chance could understand that seeing as that's what happened to him when he danced. He did notice the blush on the blue eyed man's face and had to admit that that made him smile somewhat. Which was strange for Chance. He didn't understand why this young man was making him smile so much. He didn't exactly feel butterflies, but he did feel something and it was really bizarre. It was indeed quite strange for him to be feeling seeing as, well, he was an Alderyce. He wasn't quite sure how his father claimed to love his mother seeing as, well, Saint John often told his son that Alderyces don't love. They lust, which sort of worried Chance seeing as he wanted to settle down one day and have a family, but according to his father, Chance wasn't going to have that.
Chance pushed those thoughts from his mind as he looked at Gabe, who had decided to move and sit closer to him, which Chance didn't mind at all. In fact, Chance was glad that Gabe had moved closer. It meant that the young pyro could possibly study him closer. Gabe then asked what Chance was doing around here, making him grin somewhat. "Something just told me to come here today. Usually I don't listen to it because usually something terrible happens," he said honestly before smiling at Gabe. "But it seems that this time, something good has happened," he said, grinning at the young man still before he took a drink. He sighed and put his drink back down against the bar and looked back at Gabe. "Do you always come here to sing?" He asked, not wanting to use the "Do you come here often?" pick up line or any variation of it. Chance wasn't like that...unless drunk and horny, of course. Thankfully, neither was the case at the moment, which was good. Strangely enough, Chance didn't want to seem like a total ass to the handsome man before him.

" Yeah I come here almost every weekend though no one but the random face here know it, you see I am not really suppose to be in a place like this or my dad will flip out!" Gabe said as heshrugged his shoulders slightly, his wings were invisible and hidden under his jacket. Magic made them impossible to see while his jacket made sure he did not hit someom with them especially in a small place like this, he always hid his true appearance when out and about with the normal people thoughit was not like he had much choice because of his true appearance people would be falling to there knees praying for him to aid them in whatever strife they were going through which was something he could not always do regardless of how often he wanted to help. Gabe looked at the man and smiled slightly as he wondered if Chance would be able to look past his appearance and not be freaked out though he felt that he would regardless of his personal feelings.
Chance said that he normally does not come to place like this but this time something good happened, Gabe blushed slightly as he smiled down in to his cup his white teeth flashing as he allowed his byish charm to run wild. He was glad he came tonight as well considering that he almost didn't , he was going to head out to california and stay at the beach house but decided to hold off for at least one more night. Maybe if Chance was not freaked out , he would wat to go with him and soak up the sun and lay in the sand. Gabe smacked his self for that thought as he realized that was in one of his silly rmance novels that he had read, if he was not someone important he would be a writer as he had a rather wild imagination. "Well I am glad you came and I hope you like the song it is one of my favorites you know!?" Gabe said with a certain level of amusement.

Chance raised an eyebrow somewhat when Gabe said that he came here almost everyone weekend, but no one knew except for the random people in here. Apparently Gabe wasn't supposed to be around here or his father would apparently flip his lid. He blinked questioningly. "Why would your father 'flip out'?" He asked, putting Gabe's exact phrase in quotation marks just to tease him. He smiled at the young man playfully in response to his smile to let him know that he was teasing and not being a complete jerk. Chance had known people who were like that, his father being one of them. Every time Chance did something wrong or said something wrong, his father sort of belittled him, but he knew that his father didn't mean anything personal. It was just the way that he was and there wasn't really anything that Chance could do about it. Either way, he loved his fiery father and nothing would ever change that. After all, blood is blood and as the saying goes, blood is thicker than water.
Seeing Gabe's blush made Chance feel some pride. It meant that he still had it. That was good. Chance saw Gabe look down at his drink and smile, which gave him a glimpse of Gabe's pearly whites. Chance grinned before he sipped at his drink. He then looked over at Gabe when he spoke again, saying that he was glad Chance came and that he hoped he liked the song since it was one of his favorites. Chance chuckled and nodded. "I did like the song. Personally not my style, but I liked the way it sounded coming from you," he said. Chance knew he was really laying it on thick and he wasn't quite sure why. Perhaps it was because, for some reason, Chance wanted to have Gabe. The young blue-eyed male seemed like he...needed someone to protect him and Chance was all for protecting someone as sweet and innocent looking as Gabe. Sure, Chance loved death and destruction, but at the same time, Gabe made him want to try and...build something...which was weird.

Gabe felt the mans eyes on his sins and it caused him to shudder slightly as goosebumps ran across his fair skin. It was the first time someone looked at him in such a way and it excited him and woke a passion that was never heard of as his blue eyes seemed to glow slightly as he looked back at the man. Gabe did not like talking about his father and never gave names as his father had more enemies then he had friends and as such Gabe had to always be on guard. " My dad loves me greatly but he is very protective of me as I am his only son. " Gabe replied once again giving only half truths. It did not matter at the moment that he liked the guy but Gabe could sense the man had a bad boy side and that gave him reason enough to be guarded still.
The man was not shy in his flirting as he complimented Gabe's skill on the piano as he said that the style was not his but he enjoyed the artist. The young blue eyed angel looked up into Chances eyes and with hidden meaning spoke in a soft yet sweet voice, " So what is your style?". Gabe had been rejected before and so he had to be sure that the guy was into him before he got in over his head. He could look into the mans mind but he had learned that it was not always best to look at the thoughts of others especially those of future love interest. Humans were dark creature with the capacity to be cruel and barbaric at best and so Gabe never pried unless given reason to as his mother used her gifts to look into the thoughts of others and so Gabe viewed the power as evil and dark.

A light sigh escaped Chance's lips as he waited for Gabe to speak once again. As he sat there, he began to wonder on whether his name was Gabriel or just Gabe. He wasn't quite sure but a part of him wanted to know and it kinda...scared him. Chance had never really wanted to ever get to know someone. It was use them (for whatever he desired) and get the hell out of there. Sadly, this didn't look like it was going to be one of those times. Of course, when Gabe spoke once more about his father, Chance was all ears, wanting to know anything and everything about the attractive young singer in front of him. So his father was protective of him because he was his only son...interesting. "That's cool... My dad's quite the opposite. He believes I'm a grown man that can do whatever he wants and suffer the consequences like he had to when he was young," he said with an air of indifference in his voice as he shrugged his shoulders. It was the way his dad was and the way that he had been raised. Chance was used to it.
After a moment, Gabe asked Chance what his style was. He was looking into his eyes and his voice was soft and extremely sweet. Chance grinned at him a little. "I have many different styles. Preferably rock 'n roll and alternative, but," he paused for effect," I guess if you keep singing whatever that was, I'll start to grow on it," he said with a slight grin before he took a drink of his beverage once more before sighing somewhat. He looked at his drink for a moment and saw that it was almost gone before he looked back up at Gabe and smiled a bit. An idea entered his mind briefly and he wondered... "You want to get out here? Go do something?" He asked, wanting to spend more time with him. Gabe was definitely something that Chance could get used to...no doubt about it at all. Gabe was something special and Chance wanted to hold on to it...for a long while.
